Wow, this is a really great place to find out about all things Vegas. This will be our first time and we are soooooo looking forward to it. Please can you help me out.
I dont seem to be able to get any good prices for Strip hotels for check in 14th Nov check out 19th Nov. We would really love to stay at the Venetian or Wynn but I think they maybe out of our budget price. I have looked at Fatwallet but it all looks so confusing. Can any of you experts help us out. Thanks guys....

Have you checked http://www.vegas-hotels-online.com? You will find there the latest promotion codes/offers for Las Vegas hotels. Hope this helps.

I would have a look at the first post on this thread as there are several links to sites that compile various offers...fatwallet normally has more deals in total though I agree it can be a scary site when you first look at it. There is a summary on page 1, though it doesn't appear to have been updated since Mid-July...you can go to the fatwallet site and search the thread for your hotels - not a lot up there for the 2 you mention.

  • Hi All,

I've been left with the task of booking our 40th birthday treat next year for the lads.

I've got a price of £627 for 5 nights at the luxor next April flying virgin direct.

This is an ebookers price that I cannot seem to beat.

Has anyone had any dealings with ebookers?

I don't want the wrath of everyone if I book it up and it's rubbish, so any input will be welcome.

Also, ebookers online will only allow a 1 room booking so I cannot use quidco to book all the rooms, is there a way round this?

    Thanks

    Jason

What dates in April are you looking at? And what type of room at Luxor? And how many people per room?

  • Hi ferf,

we're going on the 14th, flying home 19th.
The rooms were just the basic ones with two queen beds.
6 of us going, 2 in each room.

It doesn't seem a bad deal though if you had 2,000 miles each to get a miles + money fare and you were willing to book the non-refundable MVP offer with Luxor direct, it would be about the same price per person at the current exchange rate...it's also way too early for the really good April deals to be out so it could be you would find something better nearer the time - no guarantee though of course.

But if you don't have the miles to use then booking direct (including the non-refundable MVP deal) works out about £50 more expensive per person than the price you're getting. If you guys are going to gamble you could quite possibly earn some comps to be used toward the room, but I would never suggest counting on that.

Personally, I would book direct if it were me ...not just for the potential comps, but because I prefer booking direct...I wouldn't even look at hotels until early next year...but I've always said that if you find a deal you are happy with then you should book it and not look back. :)

  • Thanks for your time.
Think i'll go ahead and book it as everyone seems happy with that price.

    Sin City......Here we come.

Hi Ferf, thanks for your reply. Scary is the word for fatwallet web site - I guess if I keep looking at it, it should get easier. Still cant find anything suitable - maybe its too early? There are offers for Luxor, but we dont fancy that one. Whats Ceasors like ?

    November/December
    Hey one and all.
need some help.... I fly to Vegas all the time as crew for VA but am planning a trip there as part of a friends birthday ( also crew )
I have had a look at the flight loads for that day and hell will freeze over before myself and a party of 6 crew would get on.

So we need to fly indirect, LA or san fran perhaps. I have looked on the various sites for cheap internal flights with AA and UA amongst some.
Does anyone know of any other carriers or other indirect routes that would work out quite cheap.
for obvious reasons of being staff, I only need internal flights as the people that are also coming are unable to fly on other carrier unless full fare

cheeky I know, but any help is appreciate.

    Thanks one and all

    Aiden

Then again, I have cats...what do I know of children? :)

So do I, but I agree completely with what you said.

We don't gamble much. but besides that, there are so many restrictions on where you can legally take children, I would (if I had children) prefer to take them elsewhere. But like ferf said I have cats, what do I know?
