What are your dates and which hotels are you looking at?

I would be surprised if we cant get it cheaper direct with the hotel to be honest.

I'm not sure if expedia is refundable, Im sure its will be in there help section somewhere.

I was looking at the MGM Signature from 5th November for 4 nights then the bellagio from the 9th for 5 nights.

On expedia it appeared cheaper for both? (expedia was in £ i was using the rate on the travelex site to compare (1.81)

Quick Question, So far i have found cheaper hotel rates on expedia than off the sites listed in the first page of this thread. But if i book the hotel with expedia will it be 100% refundable as it is when you book direct with the hotel??

Expedia is not generally refundable and you have to pay the full costs up front

also try using Firefox , disabling any pop up blockers , and configuring your firewall to ask you what action to take rather than letting it decide . you can switch it back after your done . this does not mean disabling your firewall !!

Site must have been down works fine today thanks

Leaving for Vagas 12.30 tomorrow night (well actually got to get to Gatwick first, don't fly while around 10.30 ish, am). Still haven't had time to digest all the info on this forum, but my appetites wet. I've just be told of a place that does a 32oz steak which is free if you can eat it, but they can't remember where it is. I love steak, but I think that's too much, even for me. Will I get approached to join a players club? Or do I have to approach them? Just looking forward to exploring the place, and enjoying ourselves for 10 days. Is there a simple way to phone the US cheaply? I want to book a restaurant before we go, if I can.

Hey all, Im heading out to vegas on the 16th sept - 25th and at the moment the dollar rate to the pound is averaging 1.84, which has dropped quite a bit in the past 6 months. So m,y question is - is it best to buy now before it drops any more or wait out in the hope that it may go up???

Can i just advise that you ignore any user on here who gives you alternate advice to the following. Since there is only one answer to your question and any others should simply be disregarded.

In answer to your question no one knows. Not the slightest idea. If we did then we'd all be millionaires. Its completely up to you and is one of those risks you are forced to take. When you think that 4 weeks ago the rate was 1.98 now it is 1.85 in 4 weeks time it could be 1.98 again or it could be 1.70 who knows.
It really is that black and white. You are just going to have to take a chance one way or the other.

hi all

i am still undecided as to which hotel to book in vegas for my girfriends 40th.

i have found what io think to be a good deal through expedia which is 7 nights staying in the junior suite at the signature at the mgm grand flying direct on virgin. this was comming in at £1800.

but i know nothing about the signature brand. is a bit to upmarket?

http://www.signaturemgmgrand.com/Suites/Default.aspx

there also mentions of extra charges like below. is this something i should be concerned about?
The following fees and deposits are charged by the property at either check-in or check-out.

Resort fee inclusions

Resort fee inclusions:
• Daily newspaper delivery
• Two bottles of water each day
• Unlimited local and toll-free calls
• Private label in-suite coffee
• Wireless Internet access
• Access to The Signature's fitness center

The above list may not be comprehensive. Fees and deposits may not include tax and are subject to change.

After doing extensive research (reading about 1million revies of almost every hotel in vegas on tripadvisor) me and the mrs booked to go to the sig in Oct £474 for 5 nights.

trip advisor rates it very highly and no doubt someone on here will have stayed there- im excited anyway!!!!!!!

Hmm

Well its a choice between booking with expedia now and paying for the whole thing, which could be ok if the Pound continues to fall. Or book direct and hope a cheaper deal pops up closer to the time?

I flew to Las Vegas with Virgin. It was great, the plane was a 747 and was empty. The Air hostess let us move seats to lay across them. I think she said that there was only about 60 people on the whole plane. As it was near christmas time she told us that the Virgin flight was not the only one going to Vegas on the day we left.

Personally, I thought they were great. The plane was Virgins older decor, but was comftable clean and working. I beleive tho now that the planes are being decked out with the new seats etc.

We stayed in Circus Circus hotel. Its one of the older ones on teh strip but was very exciting with all of its shows on the big top inside! Also its own adventure theme park! It had many resturants including a mcdonalds inside. The only thing the hotel lacks on is shops, it only has a few! But the hotel was a great price and a great hotel.

You will sure have a great time in vegas!!
