    hi all

    Resort fee inclusions

    Resort fee inclusions:
    • Daily newspaper delivery
    • Two bottles of water each day
    • Unlimited local and toll-free calls
    • Private label in-suite coffee
    • Wireless Internet access
    • Access to The Signature's fitness center

$15 a day for the above

The coffee is awful! Make a trip to Vons (or similar) your first stop to stock up your fridge/freezer/kitchenette. The fitness centres are excellent and surprisingly very busy in the mornings.

Definitely not too up-market and the chances of seeing a single English football shirt is extremely low.

How easy is it to find a store to buy liquor and supplies- I imagined the nearest would have been some distance away from the strip?

you can buy beer and spirits in the MGM (which is great if you are worried at all about USA law and drinking your own alcohol) and surprisingly, the prices are not too bad ...the supermarket we use is a drive away, but there are mini-mart sort of places on the strip not too far away.

Leaving for Vagas 12.30 tomorrow night (well actually got to get to Gatwick first, don't fly while around 10.30 ish, am). Still haven't had time to digest all the info on this forum, but my appetites wet. I've just be told of a place that does a 32oz steak which is free if you can eat it, but they can't remember where it is. I love steak, but I think that's too much, even for me. Will I get approached to join a players club? Or do I have to approach them? Just looking forward to exploring the place, and enjoying ourselves for 10 days. Is there a simple way to phone the US cheaply? I want to book a restaurant before we go, if I can.

I've heard of a few similar steak offers, but not sure where.

You may get approached to join a players club - I have on occasion when I haven't been using my card...but you should just go to the players club booth.

As for cheap calls, it's been discussed many times here - check

    Hmm

Well its a choice between booking with expedia now and paying for the whole thing, which could be ok if the Pound continues to fall. Or book direct and hope a cheaper deal pops up closer to the time?

    That is the choice.

The first part of your trip coincides with a very large convention - so I would doubt that you will find any special offers for the first part of the trip if that helps you decide.

There's a CVS or Walgreens pretty right near to where you are staying (and the other is pretty much across the street). May not be the cheapest option, but it's right there. Will be cheaper than buying within the casino shops and good source of cheap Vegas souvineers too.

In 8 weeks I'll be there, as part of my honeymoon. Am getting very excited, although slightly worried about whether I have a machine readable passport - have made a note to check as soon as I get home!

We're only there for 4 days, staying in the MGM Sig, so trying to sort out an itinerary to make sure we can fit everything in.

After doing extensive research (reading about 1million revies of almost every hotel in vegas on tripadvisor) me and the mrs booked to go to the sig in Oct £474 for 5 nights.

trip advisor rates it very highly and no doubt someone on here will have stayed there- im excited anyway!!!!!!!

Excellent choice. Worth paying the extra for the space of the 1 bed suite if you can stretch to it. Also ask for a room on the penthouse floors for a good view.
Superb hotel, I've stayed there three times, you won't be dissapointed.

Don't spend too much time on it...my experience is itineraries go out the window very, very quickly in Vegas. :) We're taking the in-laws in October for their first trip while we've been 10+ times...so we are planning that one a bit more closely than normal so we can hit the key things they want to do, but only a few things each day with plenty of time between...and even that I'm expecting to go completely astray within 36 hours. :)
