Bit of winge first of all. Gutted!! I booked a week in vegas in October staying at the MGM grand! but in the end booked indirect flights as the flights with Virgin were nearly £700. Now they have dropped to £450 which is only a little more than what I paid for the indirect! Sods law huh!!! Oh Well

Anyway the real question is.... should we bother joining a player club in vegas - considering its unlikely we will return in the next few years and me and my husband probably won;t be gambling more than about £75 a day (between us)......

Alot of websites I have been reading say you should sign up??

I would. Many give you freebies (sometimes free slot play) for joining. It's free and quick to join and you never know...I know loads of people who said that they would not go back very soon and ended up going back much more quickly than expected.

Some have daily promotions that you can only take part in if you are a member...like the Planet Hollywood free spin - you can do it once per day and can win show tickets, free play, etc. Some will have special deals like earn XX points and get a free YY.

Remember that it's not the amount of money you start with, but the amount of money you cycle through the machines...so you may start with $150 or so, but as you win a little here and there and keep playing it all counts...you may put a $20 note in a machine and play and play and play...that won't count as $20 for the slot clubs...it will count as the total amount you ran through the machine which in many cases will be a lot more than $20.

I would suggest that both of you play on one of your cards to maximize anything you might get in the future...but may be worth both signing up to double up on freebies.

An Internal Server Error indicates a problem with the code trying to execute server side rather than a problem with the local machines settings.

I meant to say when I replied before - look at it this way...would you ever have considered waiting until now to book your flights so close to your dates? If not, then it's annoying that the price has dropped, but since you would never have waited until now, you would never have gotten the sale fare...you made the best choice you could at the time you wanted to get your flights booked...that's the best you can do. :)

Virgin Atlantic have increased their QUIDCO cashback to 3%.

if you are going to book with Virgin make sure you get this , it might sweeten the flight a tiny tiny bit.
Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:

Haha. I think you're right. The best part is that they even charge if you use the Virgin AmEx.

each hotel has its own rules on cancellation, it should tell you what the cancellation fee will be, if any at all...before you confirm the booking page

What are your dates and which hotels are you looking at?

I would be surprised if we cant get it cheaper direct with the hotel to be honest.

I'm not sure if expedia is refundable, Im sure its will be in there help section somewhere.

Well I did only book it too weeks ago, but didn't think they would go down that much (flights were september weren't cheap). But on the bright side I am going to vegas!!! Yay! and also I haven't lost any moeny - just the Inconvenience of indirect flights which will be a pain but I can live with!!

    8 Weeks today I go!!! Can't wait!!

Will give signing up with the players clubs a go - as said they are free to join- so it can't hurt if we may get some freebies!!

I am more excited then when I went the first time!!!
