I've booked Bally's for the 9th to 14th September, $50 for the first 3 nights then $140 for the last two. Weekend rip-off but I couldn't find anywhere on strip much cheaper.

My next question is about flights. We've booked on BMI through opodo flying to Vegas and back from LA for £350. The Opodo confirmation says the flights from LHR to Chicago and Chicago to Vegas are operated by United and the flight back from LA to LHR is operated by Air New Zealand. I tried to choose seats by logging into mybmi, and I logged in fine but it didn't have any options to book seats, but it does say on there the operator for all the flights is BMI. How can I find out for sure? And how should I choose my seats in advance? Also any tips on seats to choose - there are 2 of us. Thanks

Seems you are very lucky United is leaps and bounds ahead of BMI and Zir NZ the same again above United. If yuo are flying LHR via Chicago there is a very strong chance that you will be flying United. OK here is one piece of golden advice call up United give them your details and they will find you then either sign up for the Economy Plus program or pay the tiny charge for the upgrade, I dont know the indvidual charges bu the annual pass is $350 this covers you and a travelling companion. Then book your seats you will be so pleased you have done this believe me. OF you are on a 777 transat lantic you will have seat back TV's if you are on any other type of plane there is a strong chance you will not, good luck on that .

  • HI everyone! I'm looking at going to Las Vegas in the not too distant future and have a query. Back in 2004 I was arrested for drunk and disorderly coming out of a night club and was placed in the cells for the night to sober up. No action was taken by the police and i was sent on my way without any charges or a caution. Do i need to apply to the US embassy for a visa, or do i even need to let the authorities know about this? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you Derek

Economy Plus is United's offering between Economy and Business, its not like Virgins PE you getteh same movies, you pay for drinks and you get the same seat but you get up to an extra 5" of leg room and you are in yuor own cabin between economy and business soyou get off the plane quicker. This is why when you look at the online seat resevation all the seats near the fornt appear to have gone. Once you have sigend up then about 48 hours later you can select your seats or instantly if you do the whole thing ove the phone. I cant beleiev you acnt see it on their website there are ads eevrywhere. For meits excallent value I am not prepared to play the expensive rates for PE on Virgin and I dont want to fly with my legs tucked under my chin this is an affordable comprimise. Prior to MAxJet going bust we felw with them for between £600 and £1k retrun in proper business and these were the best value flighst I have ever had before the scum at AA went head to head out of Stanstead and tehn once they had achived their goal quit the service deisgusting. Anyway enough rant this link should help.

Once you find out what airline the seats are with check out https://www.seatguru.com for options. If they are on United, it looks like sew has given you some good info to consider.

As for finding out who is operating the flights I would call BMI. It may be that you cannot use the online seating chart if you didn't book directly through them (I'm sure someone had this problem with Virgin) but they can seat you over the phone...if the flights are operated by another airline who codeshare with BMI, I would think you would have to contact the carrier directly.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?
