My only reservation is that were going Sunday to Friday and that it may be quieter.

Girlfirend sorted out the frigin dates so we spend the first 3 nights prior to Las in NY.

Whats the nightlife atmosphere like during the week- have I dropped a bollock going mid-week

Excellent choice. Worth paying the extra for the space of the 1 bed suite if you can stretch to it. Also ask for a room on the penthouse floors for a good view.

Do you prefer the PH construction site or the airport?

Seriously though - top notch hotel that does have a few downsides, but overall our current hotel of choice also.

It will be a lot quieter compared to a Friday/Saturday night ..which for most people would be a good thing!

Actually I really like the airport view (preferred it when I stayed in Skylofts too ;) )

hehe.... I remember in the old thread you talking about your Skylofts stay. Can't think of anyone else who posts here who has stayed there. One day ...one day....
  • :T Hubby has just booked us on the Thomas Cook flight to Vegas on Sunday :T

I think he paid about £950 for the 2 of us (going for 2 weeks).

He says the seats are wider now? Any views guys? Still worth turning up early to try and get into PE?

Just off to look at hotel offers - quite fancy Paris this time I think...

Why do we always leave it so late to book

I'll come clean - I only stayed there for one night :) Awesome experience though except typically the night we stayed the MGM had a powercut.

Don't spend too much time on it...my experience is itineraries go out the window very, very quickly in Vegas. :) We're taking the in-laws in October for their first trip while we've been 10+ times...so we are planning that one a bit more closely than normal so we can hit the key things they want to do, but only a few things each day with plenty of time between...and even that I'm expecting to go completely astray within 36 hours. :)

Maybe we'll be the first to stick to ours then :rotfl:

There's definite things we want to do though:

    Bellagio fountains
    Shark Reef
Dolphin thing (can't remember the name)
Straosphere obs. deck (not sure about the rides!)
    The Gun Range
Venetian Gondola Ride (know it's tacky & cheesey but it's got to be done)

    Plus booked before we go:
    GC aerial tour
    'O'

Looked at a LOT of restaurants on TripAdvisor as we fancied something really decent as it's our honeymoon, but all of them have quite negative reviews as well as reviews giving 5*, so we're not going to book anything in advance and just see how we feel when we get there.
  • Plans and vegas don't tend to mix Ingsy :rotfl:

It is the only place in the world where even I have to leave my control freak tendencies at the airport for collection on the way home :D

You will probably manage to do most of what you are looking to do if you are there for a decent length of time...but be prepared that there will always be something that you want to leave for next time you visit
