The longer your staying in one place the harder it will be to get the room upgraded.

if they were ever going to have a fire , now is a better time what with all the building work next door. guess they will be having a bit of their own done now.
one of the worst ever hotel fires in History was in Las Vegas at what is now Ballys.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MGM_Grand_Hotel_Las_Vegas_hotel_fire

i would imagine there are very robust fire proceedures in place at all strip hotels , which has hopefully contributed to no being hurt at Monte Carlo .

Monte Carlo's owners are MGM which also owns NYNY , Mandalay bay , Bellagio , Mirage and MGM Grand ( to name but a few) i,m sure people who have booked will be looked after.

This might mean a few lesser value deals about while they move people to other hotels.
Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:

Looks like it is out according to posts on lasvegastalk.

No one injured and contained to the facade.

Will it need to close ??

vegas is one of the safest places in the world as far as fires go..apparently...because of the previous bad ones

Does anybody know of any hotels where 3 guys can stay in the same room in 3 separate beds? I've heard that MGM are able to supply a roll out bed

    Hi
Several of us went in November to visit the nearby Nellis Air Show. We tried to find a three bedded room but to no avail. We eventually booked at the Las Vegas Club, Downtown and had a room each! The cost per room was a fraction less than £24 per night! Okay, Downtown is not everyone's cup of tea but we decided the room was for washing and sleeping so "super luxury" was not important to us. We were pleasantly suprised as our rooms were excellent, see this link to my room...

We hired a car and managed to see most of what we wanted to in the 5 days were there. We drove to the Canyon (West) but beware of the VERY rough dirt track road for 22 MILES as you get near the Indian reservation car park.
    Hope this helps,

Well... I'm quite annoyed with the Harrah's company.
I emailed the customer service reservation asking for the rates for two weeks in June for two people at the Flamingo and got the reply for $1793 inc TAX.
Some time had passed and much ear ache from my partner (to hurry up and book something) and no reply, so i decided to fill the reservation form in on the Harrah's website asking the same thing...
Got the quote of $1320 without tax.... so 9% tax rate on top of $1320 = $1438!!!
    What a con job!

I'm very glad i mailed the alternatives, seems they may send the customer service mails to a sub company to fob you off.

Needless to say i've just cancelled the expensive reservation and booked the cheepee

Quite dissapointed with the Flamingo team at this point in time.....

I dont see the problem here. The rates have prob changed as you say it was some time ago and with the flamingo if you book direct you would only pay the first night as deposit and can always rebook at a lower rate.

Have you checked harrahs site (includes flamingo) for hot deals altho it may be a bit early for those.

I am staying there in march for $65 a night.

Do you really want to stay in 1 place for 2 weeks though, I normally fit in 3 hotels in that time, but I do usually go somewhere else for a weekend (LA for example)

Flamingo dont do a breakfast buffet if that makes any difference but do have a great pool (very busy) the rooms can be bettered at most of the hotels in that vicinity, location is great.

As for getting a comp upgrade for 2 weeks I would guess at no chance, but you can always try.

As for the "earache" I am in the process of sorting my hotels out for March/april, i wouldnt worry to much about june at the mo, but you can always book one and then keep checking for other deals and then cancel if need be.
