I'm now looking at PH, Flamingo, Ballys, Harrah's.
I think we'll definitiely do Luxor at some point though, either at the start or end of our week. I also really like the look of the Flamingo too (Luxury Go Strip View).
Please keep opinoons coming - need all the help I can get.0 -

Remeber you don't need to stay somewhere to get the feel for a place. To a certain extent you aren't going to be staying in your room much, and you can visit any casino even if you aren't staying there.{Signature removed by Forum Team}0 -
Aprilat least with the Hilton you have the Monorail, for a weekend the $151 is probably reasonable .
with the Strat you are basically into the seedy north strip area before downtown with only a taxi as escape without venturing onto the adult bookshop terriority .
Strat is a down market operator , no question . thats how it keeps going by under cutting the rest in everything it does , and pulling in people who cannot afford the strip .
it's well worth visting , but i would never stay there. i would stay downtown but the strat is kinda halfway between the 2 . Location is not a bonus IMO , if you can afford the main strip ,stay main strip .
i would never go all the way up to " Naked City " just to save a few bucks ,Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0 -
Hello Vegas Experts
We have just booked to go from 10th Nov - 20th Nov (10 Nights)
Quite fancy staying in a couple of places, maybe one cheaper than the other, also may fancy going off for the weekend, maybe hire a car drive to see the grand canyon, if anyone can comment on that!
Would it be of any advanage to book up hotels now (with view to cancel and re-book better deals when they come available) - if you do this I presume its best to book with a post office card as wont get charged for doing it?
As im exited, been looking at hotels and there are almost too many!
Can get the bellagio at 199 dollers a night for the last 4 nights, if that a good deal?
Hoping to spend around 1000 dollers on hotels in total.
cheers

Strat has just been crossed off - thank you all for your honestly!!
Now the Hilton, I was look at the Monorail on the 1st page & was thinking the same. The price is £151 & not $ for Sat & Sun - is this still a good deal?
Also, I really like the look of the rooms in the Flamingo Go Room with view & also PH - is this an accurate pic (LINK) of the standard deluxe in PH? Does anyone have any experience of these?
We're going 7 nts & were intending to try 2 hotels - Hilton, Ballys, Paris, Luxor & MGM now being considered. If I can afford a MGM Signature or Mandalay Bay would it be worth it?

MayYes that photo is pretty accurate for a remodeled room, but they are still in the process of remodelling all the rooms although most are now done.
You can see my photos of a remodelled resort room HERE and there are photos of the old style Aladdin rooms on the next page of that link.0 -
davidmcg2u wrote: »Hilton - can get a Sat & Sun stay for £151. Firstly, I think the price is good but is it really? I've been told it's not too far from the strip & it seems that way looking at the map Trets posted. I've been told to snap this up while I have the chance!!!
Stayed in the Hilton quite a few times. Walking to and from the strip is not really a sensible option. rooms were fine, as was the Star Trek Experience (which was almost free with the room). You can get free wi-fi in the hotel
and while its not too expensive and its generally free of the blackpool brigade found in the Strat/Circus Circus.
However, £151 for a weekend is way too much. We generally wouldn't pay that in dollars for a weekend there. What dates are you looking at?0 -

We'd get into Vegas on Wed 16th July - the weekend is 19&20th.

Does anybody know of any hotels where 3 guys can stay in the same room in 3 separate beds? I've heard that MGM are able to supply a roll out bed0
