I was considering one a while back, are they worth the money??
If you're going to buy one, don't buy one direct from the developer - buy on the resale market.
That's what I've always read, anyway.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

Also, i'm vegetararian, am i going to starve in Vegas?
No, but you may not get enough value out of buffets - plenty of veggie options on there but depending on how much you will eat and how strict a vegetarian you are may reduce the value.
The topic comes up at Open Vegas from time to time - I think this is the most recent thread.

Thanks for posting up the link, i'll take a look! I am relatively strict, i.e no rennet in cheese, no gelatine, and hands washed when touching veggie food after handling meat so i appreciate that it's going to be hard. I do tend to give restaraunts the benefit of the doubt when it comes to hand washing and the such as it's basic hygiene. Atleast i'll always have fruit as a safe option!0

OctoberIt was great, the sets both reclined and had great leg room, champagne for take off, an extra range of tv channels, nice travel pack and the old hot towel, free drinks all flight and lovely food. Only thing that was really odd was that you were expected to pay for pringles (so no pringles for me, im not paying for an upgrade and paying for crisps).
It was an extra £250 per person for the return flight (LAST YEAR) this year we looked at it and it was a lot more expensive this year, so much that we didnt consider it and thats why i cant recall how much it was going to be.
For £3000 we got the premier flights, train for us both to manchester overnight hotel in manchester, the canyon trip and the nightflight we also got transfers. though i would recommend as a MUST, anyone going premier or first class, dont use the transfer service on the way out, you will be first off the plane, you will get through passport control first and you will get your bags first (I even had to have a Visa authorised - due to being charged for being drunk many many years ago -stupid i know) and will still had to wait for over an HOUR AND A HALF until everyone else got through and was on the caosch ready to go - seriously i could have walked it quicker
Thanks again Steve,
One of the conditions of me being allowed back to LV is we get more leg room, we went with Virgin last time. We can afford decent seats but still dont want to pay over the odds for them. Can you get quotes for the premium seats on Mytravel's web site or do you have to phone them.ACHIEVING THE AIM SINCE.........0 -

Hi - I would think that you would want to steer clear of buffets then as there's probably a lot of potential for cross-contamination from customers there using utensils from different plates at the serving stations, but you've probably already considered this.
If you do a search at Open Vegas for 'vegetarian' there are several links that come up. Lesley74 is also from the UK and I think a pretty strict vegetarian and she's posted a number of times about her experiences, so might be a good resource for you.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
Yeah, i had considered that so i'm not really sure what i will do buffet wise, i'm going with a meat eater so may have to comprimse a little at times i think, we would only do buffet's as breakfast though. Thanks for all your help, i'll get searching!0

I'm really struggling with choosing a hotel. I want to keep it around £500 for a week's stay.
We were going to stay in the MGM Grand but I'm concerned it will be too big and it'll grate after awhile.
What's the Monte Carlo like? Or the Mirage? (I know we might struggle at that price) We don't fancy New York New York or Luxor.
I'd like somewhere on the strip with good access, an imposing 'Vegas' presence with good pools. Thoughts?2016 diet challenge 16lbs/42lbs lost

I stayed 4 nights at the New York New York, it was fantastic.
As for the timeshare thingies, I found that they weren't interested in Brits, only Americans were targeted.
My favourite bargain was the buffet at the Sahara. We only visited to go on the Speed rollercoaster, but the posters were advertising half price dinner buffet with a (free) players club card. It was only $6.99 for dinner and we liked it so much we went twice. I also won $5 on their free daily slot pull machine. That was the only 'gambling' I did in Vegas!:beer:0 -
MayAlthough I am not so strict a vegetarian, I will eat eggs and cheese...I still have problems finding decent veggie food in Vegas, thats why I like staying at the Signature as the rooms have their own kitchenette areas with cooking utensils, microwave, hob etc, so do my own meals.0
