Marchplease read http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/cards/cheaper-spending-overseas.
There is no other debit card that comes close
you know, I'd read through that before - but it never clicked with me that you can withdraw cash on a CREDIT card from ATMs.
Maybe because it's something I vowed never to do except in the case of a dire emergency around about 1990, it has just never occurred to me since then that it was even possible.
It's good that I read that though, because now I know that if there IS a dire emergency, the Post Office card might be our saviour. I honestly think that it wouldn't even have occurred to me as an option if we really needed it, so it's kind of reassuring to know that it's there.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

Is this offer worth taking up in september? because if there is any empty celebrity you can just use the $20 trick to get the upgrade...0 -
MaySaw a sign in post office today that said they will be offering special US dollar exchange rates on July 4th, but it didnt say what rate, or if the offer is in all post offices.0

SeptemberIm getting a Thomas Cook Visa Electron card, it's fee-free to use in shops, restaurants, etc and a charge of £1.30 for each cash withdrawal. The rate isn't great but it's better than paying a fortune to my bank or cc company....Undefeated Wii Fit ski jump champion!

I currently have
2 current accounts with 2 different banks
2 savings account with 2 different banks
An Online Bonus Saver
An ISA
Plus a stooze pot
i dont think having this ammount of accounts has ever caused me a problem, i keep them just in case there is a chance i might get an offer in the post as a customer. Im going to open one with nationwide before we go away0 -

Has anyone opened a Nationwide Flex account recently ? The reason I ask, on my recommendation, my boss went into our local Nationwide branch and asked about opening a Flex account for use when travelling abroad and they were quite 'snotty' with him. It was as if he shouldn't be asking for one !
Just thinking whether they will start asking for regular deposits for new customers ?0 -

thats fair enough,
Ok all whats your favourite thing to do/place to go in Vegas, nothing too mainstream sort of your own best kept vegas secret?
I think mine would probably either the american diner (where the staff sing and dance) at the stratosphere and you can get a lemonade float or the steaks at the Australian steakhouse opposite the mirage and next to mcdonalds0
