MayWe have flown bmi direct from Manchester several times. I've always found the 31" seat pitch to be fine until the return journey last week when it felt really cramped and a lot less than that.
My knees were in agony by the time we landed and were sore enough to wake me up. I actually hobbled the whole length of the airbridge. I don't know if they have reduced the pitch or what.
I think we will continue to use bmi as we can check the bags in at Aberdeen and not see them till Vegas.
I have a couple of 2 for 1 coupons for the Spice Market buffet we didn't have time to use. Do you think it is worth putting them on eBay as they are worth up to $26.99 each?0 -

They've sold before out of the US for $5-$17...whether people would be searching on the UK side I'm not sure but I can't see any that have sold recently on ebay.co.uk - so you could corner the market. I would probably give it a try.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
OctoberWell I'm not a frequent flyer to the US and having only done Virgin once I dont really have anything to compare the flight with....longesy flight I've done before that is the standard 4 hour flights to Turkey/Lanzarote/Tenerife and Cyprus......I found Virgin 10 times better than them so personally I'm quite happy to continue flying with them....yes a new plane would be nice as would a cheaper fare ......
As we have to get someone to take us to the airport at a huge cost I was wondering whether a flight from Cardiff to Gatwick may be possible but it seems Cardiff only fly to Heathrow.....can I fly with Delta or someone else to Vegas from there.....sorry I'm pushed for time over the next few days so dont have time to look it up myself......what are those airlines like to fly with??? and I'm assuming it's not a direct flight?:hello: LORRAINE :hello:0 -

As far as I know the only direct flights to Vegas from the UK are BMI from Manchester, Virgin from Gatwick, and ThomasCook from Gatwick (I may be wrong on this one as never flown it).
I've had good experiences flying Delta connecting through Atlanta (at least I think it was Atlanta, didn't see much of it!). It takes a little longer, and you've got the hassle of a connecting flight but personally I'd recommend this over Virgin.

JulyCannot agree more - flown with them only once to Vegas and it'll be the last time. Flying BMI from Manchester in a few weeks. Can anyone comment if this is much better?
Mark
I would be interested to hear how you get on on that flight in a few weeks time as me and my other half are doing the same flight on 29 June - hope its a good one for you!!

OctoberBMI and Thomas Cook only do 7 or 14 day options......I want to go for 10 days so looks like my choice is limited to Virgin if I dont want a connecting flight...........unless something changes by April 2009:hello: LORRAINE :hello:0

We'll be in Vegas the same time then, don't know why but I'm always shocked to find that I'm not the only Brit in Vegas when I'm over there. Dispite traveling to Vegas in a plane from Manchester!:D
40 days to go...
Have a good time.0 -

BMI do any length you want to do.
Thomas Cook do others too. If you use the mytravel website it gives other options. I've just checked a few random dates and have been given the option of 4, 7, 10, 14 and 18 days.0 -
Octoberoooo kool I'm off for another look:hello: LORRAINE :hello:0
