Not like spain where you know the score. either eating in hotel or out and about.
hoping to do the Grand Canyon ( prob about £300 for both of us )
will eat out every day ( obviously ) what ya think i would need for spends just for food and drink ?
not wanting to eat out in the best restaurants just run of the mill....
As others have said it can be as cheap or as expensive as you want it to be.
I dont think we have ever paid full price for a buffet as we always have loads of coupons so on average about $10 for breakfast and $20 for dinner (Per couple)we dont eat in between. Ellis Island is def worth a look even without coupons for the steak specila at $6.99 (you have to ask for it) or the BBQ half rack of ribs and half a chicken for $8.990 -

Like everyone's said before, it pretty much depends what you want to do when you're their, and it can be very very expensive, or the cheapest holiday in the world (well, maybe not but you get the point!)
The first time I went I took about $2000, and had a great time, since that visit the girlfriend realised that vegas wasn't just about gambling and there's shopping to be had. Since that we've tended to take about $3000 each.
I stayed at the Bellagio last time and ate their most of the time, I still come back with a few hundred dollars. I intend to gamble a little more this time round though.
When are you going?

OctoberI have been checking flight prices for april next year and it looks like nothing under £400, so I may not be going again
. I had been looking at March prices when they came out and M+M was £350 and even that is now over £400.
Not sure I even want to go with Virgin anymore, Air France is cheapest at mo at £411, Anyone been with Airfrance.
ps these flights are into and out of LA as we are thinking of starting off in LA
Can I be Cheeky and ask why you wont go with Virgin......is it a price thing????:hello: LORRAINE :hello:0 -
Rubbish old plane.illegitimi non carborundum0

OctoberReally
so who do you recommend flying with.....bearing in mind we live in Wales so whichever airport we go from is a bloody long way from us:hello: LORRAINE :hello:0 -
Wales.......try Manchester thomascook.com and BMI, who both fly direct.
Or Virgin to LAX or SFO (new fleet) from Heathrow, and internal flight to Vegas, which seems to be a route growing in popularity.
On our Vegas flight, the seatback entertainment system was broken......for ten hours, thats a really long flight.illegitimi non carborundum0 -
Marchwe still choose Virgin as it's direct from London...I know the planes are old, etc...but for us, the time and hassle to make a connection is not really worth it to us...to others it is...so it's all really relative to what is most important to you - to us it's getting there as quickly as possible and we can put up with the old planes if it means not making a connection.
To each their own and all..:)Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
OctoberHad a quick look and both those airlines only do 7 or 14 day flights so no good for us but thanks anyway
I'd like to do a 9 or 10 day stay this time round and would prefer a direct flight.....BMI were more expensive than Virgin and TC were only £4 cheaper.....if I use my Virgin miles I can get the flight cheaper........there will be 2 of us travelling and as long as one of us has a tv working that will do for us.....OH will sleep part of the way anyway.
So far I think I will stick with Virgin......but I'm open to suggestions and thanks for the help guys:hello: LORRAINE :hello:0
