Virgin used to run a rubbish old plane to Boston until around 2000....once they even had to put us up overnight at Gatwick because it was bust. IMHO, competition from BA etc forced them to put a new plane on the route......I guess I now know where that plane went..........illegitimi non carborundum0

MarchTo be fair I've been on flights with problems with seatback entertainment systems on AA, Continental and Delta previously...I've flown with Virgin more frequently than those three combined and don't think I have ever had a problem...so it is just down to bad luck in some cases.
And anyway, the potential lack of interesting seatback entertainment (even when it IS working) is why we bring our own...last trip I didn't even turn the seatback on except for the flightmap.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

Last time in Vegas I was that disappointed with the Virgin flight after hearing many good things about their planes on other routes, I bought a PSP and a selection of movies to watch on the plane on the way back. The return journey was much more enjoyable than the way there!

Didnt say I wouldnt go with Virgin, just that the flight back was the most uncomfortable flight i have ever had, entertainment was ok just no padding in the seat, I have written twice to Virgin, first reply was a joke, I am still waiting for the second reply
I know the planes are better on the heathrow/LA route which I may use, but am loathe to use them again.
If I can get a cheaper flight with another airline into LA ,I will use them0 -
