SeptemberPanda, thanks for that previous link about PH, we are going tomorrow and booked Caesars on a really cheap rate (sub $1000) but really wanted PH(at the time, PH was much more expensive) then followed your link and we could have stayed there cheaper than the CP deal, but we needed to give 3 days notice to cancel:mad: Will keep it bookmarked though.
Shame about the AA thing, always strike while the irons hot, I say

Aprilhi when using the american casino guide coupons how do you book the 2 for 1 rooms, is there some sort of code, also for the shows do you just turn up at the booking office with your ticket.
thanks0 -

Yes and yes.
For the hotels you have to call and quote the reference number on the coupon and then have the coupon with you when you check in.
I agree on the value of the 2-for-1 at Ellis Island Barbeque that stoneman mentioned - ridiculous amount of food...crazy...for 1/2 rack of ribs, 1/2 chicken and sides...EACH...or a whole rack of ribs or a whole chicken...EACH...and it was good food too...$10 for the 2 of us (I think we had extra drinks).Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
Marchif anyone is interested (also bored and has quite a lot of time to spare) I did post our trip report over at Open Vegas.

It is really long and rambly...but that's the only way I can do things!Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!! You will get half price tickets to Legends at Tix4Tonight. If you get a $2 off the service charge coupon from the Tix4Tonight website you should be $61 total for 2 people.
All the ACG coupon will save you is $2.00 pp service charge.
We will be seeing Legends for the umpteenth time a week on Friday. Have already checked www.legendsinconcert.com to see who will be on that night. Jay Leno was a scream last time we saw him.
Thats why i thought it was too good to be true0 -

November/DecemberI'm looking for flights for a week in Vegas, fly from Manchester preferably but happy to go to London if needs be.
Dates are kind of flexible, but must return by 14th November latest, so outbound flights are between 1st + 7th November.
Is anybody aware of any deals that are out/scheduled to come out?
Will look for hotels at a later date I guess...Comp wins: Masters Cup tickets0 -

I'm pretty sure that is what the coupon is for 2 tickets for the price of 1...I can check when I get home as I don't have the book with me...you can regularly get this show at the 1/2 price ticket booths and if that is the only coupon you want from the guide then the booths might be a better option. But there are loads more coupons in the book so worth looking into.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

I think that it depends on the person really - we usually buy the ACG and sometimes the Las Vegas Advisor membership with the Pockebook of Values. We bought both this year as we will be in Vegas 3x during the year.
Maybe check the list of coupons to see how much value they would have for you?

If you're considering going to Ellis Island for the barbeque then there is a 2-for-1 coupon in the ACG which will cover part of the cost of the book.
Ellis Island is almost directly behind Bally's and we've walked it a few times.
I think the barbeque is open from 5pm to 10pm or so - and it seems that it is closed on Sunday and Monday (I think)...join the players club first as there is a discount for members (and membership is free).Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
MarchQuick question concerning flights: Anyone know the cheapest price I can expect in July August from London to LAS Las Vegas?
What are the best airlines to do this trip? By this I mean comfier onboard, etc, but not more expensive (this is MSE after all!!).
In case any of you know (and before I open another thread unecessarily), the same question concerning London - Los Angeles: cheapest fare to expect and best airline.
Now concerning a short first-time trip to LasVegas (as a detour from LA where I am attending a conference): I'm thinking of something along the lines of 3 nights in Vegas:
Day 1: flight from LA to Las vegas, Cirque du Soleil show
Day 2: trip to the Grand Canyon by bus http://www.looktours.com/bus1.html
Day 3: LV
Day 4: return to LA
What do you think?
Thanks in advance for any advice.
Why not check prices flying into LA and back from Las Vegas - this type of ticket was discussed a few pages ago and the cost (at least with Virgin) is not much more expensive (if at all) then a return to LA. Would save the hassle of having to get back to LA at least...I know you will be attending a conference but I assume the conference could be at the start or end of your trip - and if it were at the start, flying back from Vegas would save some hassle.
As for flights - if you want to fly direct, your only option is Virgin so that will narrow it down a bit - flight prices seem more expensive this year than previous years but I would be surprised at anything below £500 for July/August. If you don't mind making a connection it's probably best to use one of the search engines to get an idea about your specific dates - www.travelocity.co.uk has a my dates are flexible option so you can see options for the dates around those you choose. Of those airlines that fly to Vegas from London with connections we prefer American, but we have flown direct for years as we don't like having to make a connection.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0
