November/DecemberI'm looking for flights for a week in Vegas, fly from Manchester preferably but happy to go to London if needs be.
Dates are kind of flexible, but must return by 14th November latest, so outbound flights are between 1st + 7th November.
Is anybody aware of any deals that are out/scheduled to come out?
Will look for hotels at a later date I guess...
Looking further at this today, the hotel prices seem very high compared to what I was expecting, being out of season and such. Is there something major happening during these dates?Comp wins: Masters Cup tickets0 -
MaySorry I wasn't clear in my original post.
It sounded as if the OP was only going to buy the ACG for the 2 for 1 Legends coupon. What I was trying to say (and failing miserably) was that they could get half price tickets, which is the same as 2 for 1, and thereby saving the cost of the book if that was all they were going to buy it for.
A week to day and we'll be there at last. I really can't wait as things are pretty crap at work just now. I really need the break, but then I have post-holiday blues and jetlag to contend with.
Off to reas fref's trip report to get me in the mood.0 -
Mayferf --- how did you sign up to restaurant.com
it won't let me put in a UK address - or doesn't that matter?0 -
MayJust put in a US address. Your hotel in Vegas will do. You print off the voucher so they don't need your actual address.0

MayJust read your trip report and thoroughly enjoyed it.
I understand what you mean about feeling "off". We went for 4 days the first time as part of a tour and took 17 years to go back for a week. That week was fantastic as we thought it was a one off and did absolutely everything thinking we wouldn't be back.
Went back 7 months later for a week and that still wasn't long enough so went back the following May for 10 nights. As we had done so much in previous trips we didn't have that much planned. Those 10 days felt just a little too long and I was ready to go home after 8 or 9 days.
Thought I was Vegassed out, but kept going back twice a year. I found it was better if I had prepared a planner with an outline of whihc days we would go to shows, shopping and places to eat. We didn't stick to it rigidly, but it certainly helped.
We've since been back for 11 nights and that wasn't too long and the next trip will be 12 nights, but only one trip this year due to other holiday commitments.0 -

What's slot golf? Me and OH are always making notes of who's ahead etc etc so this would be fun for our next trip (unfortunately not booked yet)
It's a game my husband and I play - he came up with the idea so I can't take credit (or blame)...we have 18 'holes' for a long trip, 9 for a short one and each hole is played at a different casino...we each put a $20 into a machine of our choosing and play that $20 through once (we have a cheat-sheet to show how many spins that is at the denomination and number of lines)...when the $20 has been played once we record the value of the credits left...at the end we add up our scores and the winner takes the travelling trophy (which is a Las Vegas Invitational golf ball marker I got on ebay).
We are such nerds.
There's a completed scoresheet here:
www.slotgolf.com/slotgolf/CopyofVegasInvitational-complete.xls (Jamie kicked my behind, as usual)
a blank one here:
www.slotgolf.com/slotgolf/CopyofVegasInvitational-blank.xls
and the cheatsheet which shows how many spins we get depending on the machine here:
www.slotgolf.com/slotgolf/slotgolfcheatsheet.xls
We normally try to play new machines but sometimes get called back to our favorites.
It started out to be an excuse to try new casinos and that website has existed for well over a year and we've yet to actually put it together properly.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

I LOVE that idea...my husband on the other hand is glaring at you even if you cannot see it.
Why are the women usually the planners and the men usually the take it as it comes people?
Next trip at 3 nights will have to be somewhat planned, at the very least the meals...that's my intention anyway!
Glad you liked the report.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
