Hardly surprising you're missing things CoG. You're flat out all the time and worried about A. If you can set some time aside for yourself today to do something you thoroughly enjoy and can lose yourself in that would be great, but from my caring experience I know that sometimes that's just another thing I had to cram in, along with everything else. (((Hugs)))When Belovéd let the small cat out of her night-time sanctuary he inadvertently left the cupboard door where we keep the box of Dreamies ajar. They hadn't finished it, so that means they both ate until they felt sick. Neither cat asked for breakfast and there's a lot of them just lying around, alternated with them visiting the water bowls. I don't think they'll need anything to eat until bedtime.Breakfast cooked, dog walked, and today's flying planned. I'd like to blitz both the shower room and the bathroom, together with the sink in my office. That would be enough for a Saturday.Twitter storm locally about two ex-servicemen standing for election for the main parties, and one of them will win despite several other people standing. Unedifying. I'll be in the room when the result is declared so that'll be interesting.Better is good enough.6

Good afternoon 😁
SiL cancelled on me for parkrun this morning. Obviously, I could have got up & gone on my own......Obviously, I didn't! 😂
Bed has been stripped & washed. We had a heavy downpour, but it is now hung up & nearly dry.
I have done my wordle, emptied the DW & watered the houseplants. I have done a little knitting & chatted with DS & DD2.
I have charged up the strimmer battery so I think I will head to the allotment to cut the grass. I didn't get down there at all last week so I dread to think of the state of it! I hope the rain holds off - at least until I get back & get the bedding in!
Hugs to those struggling with caring duties. Remember to look after yourselves too
I will check in again later6 -
Strimmer string rethreaded
Dry washing brought in and FU
Pots DUPA
I've picked an ITV7 for the first time in ages. I can dream about winning £100k until my horse loses on the first race 🤣

Unedifying. I'll be in the room when the result is declared so that'll be interesting. Thanks HB - that's exactly how it is. A is having a sleep now so once I've done the washing up I might get a bit of time to read or watch some tennis, although he woke up just now and was crying out. I ran through in a panic but it was only his leg hurting, which it often does, and it soon stopped.Another mess-up today, although this time not my fault. The Waitrose delivery came and it was full of mistakes. I'd ordered a pack of ham and he brought 4(!), a pack of smoked salmon and he brought two, a pack of falafel balls and he brought 4, a bottle of cream and he brought two, 12 little bottles of a probiotic drink and he only brought 10 and he brought a tub of tomato and basil sauce which I hadn't ordered at all. He went back with nearly as many things as he left me with! Anyway, it's all put away now.As he was leaving the doorbell rang again and it was Amazon delivering a new pendant alarm for A in case he needs me urgently and I'm in another room and don't hear him calling. The one we currently have has stopped working. It required almost no setting up but this one is more complicated and I can't get it to work. I tried for a bit but you have to scroll through dozens of different sounds to get the one you want and then hold this button and hold that button with alarms going off all the time and it was getting on A's nerves (and mine to be honest) so in the end I gave up. I might ask our friend's son, who lives at the end of the road to come and have a look - he's very practical. I feel that I ought to be able to do it myself but it's difficult when trial and error causes so much noise.

Did all the planned flying at Mum's this morning- walked up to get papers, stripped bed and did one lad of washing, finished packing and loaded car, vacuumed all rooms, emptied all bins, all else on list. DB an hour late as battery was flat; various hotspots of traffic for both of us. Mr N had messaged me a list if I felt up to it on the way home, arrived just before 6pm feeling very drained and emotional so cried a bit when I saw him. Still feeling a bit whimpery despite having read on the diary/doc DB and I add to that all is going well with Mum. Oh well tomorrow is another day.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.6

Good morning 😁
I hope you all had (or are having) a good sleep. I am awake, but not up. I may go and make a cuppa & bring it back to bed in a mo. It is Sunday, after all!
Yesterday I managed an hour or so at the allotment. I planted out a courgette in the space where I left a pumpkin 2 weeks ago 🙄 That and a sunflower seem to be the only casualties, although the mesh had blown off the brassicas so they had been nibbled by pigeons. There was a dead bird on one bed - I am hoping nature deals with it before my next visit! Brought back a bucket of weeds.
The rest of the day (on & off) I spent knitting a tiny lilac cardi for DGD and watching tv.
I had a message from my very dear friend to say she is going to be a grandma in December 🥰 I actually squealed when I read it, as she didn't think she ever would be. Her DD had always said she didn't want children, and her 2 sons are unlikely to have them (1 is asd & gay, and shows no interest and the other has CP and has 24 hr carers). Her DD clearly has other plans now and will be an excellent mum!
Plan for today is potter in the garden, at least 1 load of washing & knitting. We are at my mum's for lunch
Have a good Sunday everyone 😊7
