Sorry you've had a nightmare day Pigpen. No call from SS today but she did say it could be early next week. I hope they don't ring on Monday though as A has an appointment with the dermatologist. This morning I went to the shops for a couple of things and whilst I was out I was reversing the car (very slowly) and accidentally bumped into a car parked behind me but at an angle to me. I got out and looked and there were a couple of small, faint marks, on the bumper, about 3 inches long. I wasn't even sure if I'd caused them but had to assume I had. I left a note under his windscreen and just as I got back in to the car he appeared and started to read the note. I got out and spoke to him and had to point out the marks as they were not very obvious. He seemed rather displeased though and said that he would contact me if he couldn't get them out. I'd already taken a photo of them but we'll see what happens. It was a six year old car and the marks were very slight so I think that if it had been me I would have said forget it as you had to really look to see them and they certainly won't affect its value. We'll see if anything comes of it.After lunch we watched some tennis and then I went out to my friends who live nearby for a drink. I came back, made our supper and am now about to wash up, put out A's breakfast thing and his morning meds.8

Still flying in Dorset. Mum and I continue to have our high and low times for different reasons; I was really low yesterday and nearly sobbed down the phone when Mr N rang but I sort of block it all off and try to just get from day to day. Both Mum and I are aware that worrying about what will happen next week/month etc is very draining and neither of us have the energy for it. She's now been let loose on a 3-wheeled walker and was doing very well under the supervision of the OTs until predictably she went into the garden with it to chat to her garden helper, lost concentration while looking at plants and promptly walked backwards into a flower bed and fell over. Fortunately other than some stiffness, no damage done but it knocked her confidence a bit, understandably. I felt terrible but I can't follow her round everywhere; like letting your toddler learn to walk I suppose. Anyway this evening she took it to Mr T, didn't mow anyone over, and achieved a couple more minor goals like using her bank card to get money out (2nd attempt at PIN number) then we decided to have a ready meal and she microwaved it herself following the instructions.
Tomorrow I'm going home, yippee to be seeing Mr N again, and my brother is taking over for a few days until I come back down for my sponsored swim. I've got a humungous list of flying to do; I'm almost packed - bear in mind that in 'my' room currently is the suitcase I've been living out of since 21st May, Mr N's suitcase from our holiday (he came/went on the motorbike so couldn't carry much), Mr N's camera equipment, my drum kit, a box of swimming kit, a large cool bag and all sorts of miscellaneous stuff like a plant I bought in Cornwall. Once my stuff is downstairs ready to load in the car, I need to wash sheets and anything Mum has to wash, vacuum everywhere, check fridge contents, sweep kitchen floor, empty bins etc.
I'm up for a London flymeet depending on caring duties. Glad A is making progress CofG.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.8 -
Morning all xx
Weeeeekeeeennnd 💃💃
DS and his DF are in Dorset this weekend. DS is a groomsman at his Uni friend's wedding in Highcliffe Castle today. So they drove down yesterday....setting off at 4pm, a tad later than planned as DF had booked the wrong Friday off work. Ooops.
I had a decent day at work yesterday- don't faint! Steady in the morning and very quiet in the afternoon....so I've sent my complaint off to the ICO and completed and submitted the job application that I've been slaving over. Tick. Tick.
I'm up, brought down the laundry hamper, sorted washing into loads, set first load swishing, FUPA tea towels, put away the airer, FU towels- they're on the laundry hamper waiting to go upstairs, and completed Wordle and Connections.
I've unearthed a pair of slippers, still in their bag, from a drawer under my bed and they are now on my feet. My falling apart Betty Boop slippers are in the bin 😥. Pops bought me them many years ago. No idea who bought me the new pair. 'Shopaholic' ....someone who doesn't know me very well 🤣
I'm savouring my first brew. Anyone up and want to join me?
Love to all.

Morning. I'm with you Round.
Just having second cuppa and some toast.
Not done a lot of flying the last couple of days but I did cut the grass back and front yesterday.
This morning I've cleared some piles of stuff threatening to be hotspots, done my stretches, prepped food for Poppet, watered plants indoors and in the greenhouse, picked raspberries and made up two mixed fruit crumbles for pud later.
Will try to report back with any other progress but am out this afternoon.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.7 -

First 'square' strimmed
Bowl of pots WULTD
Bowl reloaded with pots
Second 'square' strimmed
Strimmer's strimmy-string broke....had enough for now (me and it). Put strimmer away. Made a mess of rewinding the extension cable so unwound it again. Unknotted my tangles. And rewound carefully.
I an now 🥵. But the back garden looks better already which will motivate me to sort out the strimmer (I'm hoping it just needs rethreading, but I do have a spare spool if required) and strim the rest.
Then it'll be time to try out my new lawnmower.
.
I smell like chives.

Not a good start to my morning. I went out to the bakery for our pain au chocolat and cheese straws but as I was a bit later than usual and they run out quite early I drove. I parked in a residents' bay but didn't notice it was suspended as the sign was some way down the road and I couldn't see it as I drove past as there was a tall van obscuring it. I was only gone a few minutes but when I came back I had a ticket.
It would have been cheaper to have gone by chauffeur driven car. I came back and dropped off the things I'd bought, accompanied A on his stairs exercise and then popped out to the wine shop for something.
I came back and made us a coffee to have with the p-a-c but cut it the wrong way so one half had all the chocolate and the other was just pastry! Honestly, I'm a walking disaster area at the moment.6
