Charter Savings Bank Easy Access - Issue 78 - 4.21%; £1 min

Thanks. The rates have now been updated by Kent Reliance on their website.
Don't have any easy access savers myself. But I believe the issue 8 may also be reducing from 4.09% AER to 3.94% AER from 27th July (?). The issue 7 remains at 4.02% AER. It doesn't show the old rates so can't be sure about that

It states 'available to new customers only'. I closed my Saga account earlier this year, but will give it a go to see if they remember me!
EDIT: It took a couple of minutes to open. I transfered £1 from Nationwide in seconds, and it is showing 4.5% interest rate. The user interface seems better than I remember (using Chrome on PC).

You will need a smartphone or camera enabled tablet to apply.
Bonus rate of 1.64% AER (fixed) for first 12 months. Available to new customers only.
You can withdraw up to £10,000 at a time, and £20,000 within a 24-hour period.
Eligible deposits up to £120,000 are protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS). This applies to the total of any deposits you have with Saga Money, NatWest and NatWest’s associated brands.
Note that legacy Saga savings are still Goldman Sachs (including Marcus) for FSCS protection.
(edit: added Marcus reference)

I don't believe that you HAVE to be over 50 to open it, just over 18 - it is just "aimed" at the over 50s… I cannot see anything in the terms about needing to be 50+
I had to do the usual passport photo and selfie video (hence why you might need a smart phone to open it), but was opened within a minute after that.

Saga Easy Access
We just repeated the application for my wife - very similar to my successful application but hers is 'being reviewed' for up to 72 hours. Perhaps they will spot that she was a customer in the past! (EDIT: Wife's acct now open 20 mins later)

"You will need a smartphone or camera enabled tablet to apply."
Indeed. A camera-enabled laptop/pc is not sufficient.
Same applies to:
