Not easy access, so wrong thread.
There are a couple of easy access 5%ers kicking about (Revolut, Lemfi) for those who are eligible.1 -
That'll be why I started the post "I know it's a 1 year fixed but…"
Usually you can't access fixed savings at all within the term. Consider this a blend of both for those it suits.3 -
well that sucks… the oxbury deal was short lived… too many customers i guess :( Off to revolut then i guess, just a bit annoying that i need a current account for it which i'd rather not have tbh hence was waiting for a similar easy access (rainy day money) rather than fixing for a year!

why is lemfi not listed on MSE frontpage? I am always hesitant to open an account (with a non well known bank) plus when its not advertised on MSE!
-edit @friolento, quotations are broken for your post!

For anyone who has a Halifax reward bonus saver, note they increased the rate yesterday but you will need to 'renew' your account to get the new 3.0% rate.
They kept this quiet, funny as their FAQs read,
"Can Halifax change the interest rate?
Yes.As this account pays a variable rate of interest it can change over time. We’ll always let you know of any planned changes to the rate. Our terms and conditions explain when and how we do this. For example, we might change it if costs us more to run this account for you."
NB, the rate drops upon your 3rd withdrawal whereas it was previously your 4th. It's possible to hold multiple of these thus increasing the number of times you can access your funds.

Not surprising given today's announcement there is an equivalent Club Lloyds Advantage Saver for those with a Club Lloyds account.

Cahoot Simple Saver (issue 17) out today (2nd July) paying 4.32% AER on up to £500,000. Replaces Cahoot Simple Saver (issue 16) paying 4.17% AER.
Easy access account with no withdrawal restrictions. Minimum account balance £1. Account runs for 12 months after which it becomes a Cahoot Savings Account (currently paying 1% AER)
At least 2 months notice of interest rate changes. Historically they've given closer to 3 months notice although no guarantee of that of course going forward.
Can opt for interest to be paid annually (4.32% AER/4.32% gross) or monthly (4.32% AER/4.24% gross)
Cahoot Simple Saver issue 16 (or other issues) can be upgraded to issue 17 to get the higher rate. Follow the link above, scroll down to 'Can I upgrade my existing account', and follow the instructions there

Many thanks…..just did an upgrade, which was simple, and got the updated interest rate.

Great. No more need for the Spring Special Easy Saver 4.30% then.
