The bonus period on the previous Notts bonus saver ended a while back - and everyone presumably moved their money out so now they clearly needed a new bonus account on offer to get the money they lost all back again.
Along with Hodge Bank reducing and then increasing their rates you do wonder if they all have any idea what they are doing.

How can they state "Instant access to your funds" if the money doesn't arrive until the following day. 🙄

According to this Nottingham Building Society say in section 9.3 'We’ll process a withdrawal immediately if we receive your request before 4pm on a working day. Otherwise, we’ll process it the next working day and the money will reach the receiving account by the next working day'
If that is correct then that does sound like instant access (as the transfer seems to be immediate if done before 4pm on a working day albeit not at weekends or during evenings) rather than easy access?

I must admit I toyed with that term quite a while when I first saw it last night.
After long and careful deliberation (and in conjunction with other terms and I think something I saw in their FAQ's on their website) I decided upon the interpretation you have put on it.
Edit: looks like we might both have been wrong. I just looked at the FAQs again to find what I saw last night, and discovered this!

I have a Cahoot SDS which matured (by date) recently. However it's still there as a SDS and still showing as 5% interest. I've had no comms regarding the account maturing.
A seemingly (to me) random interest payment was made to the account in early August '25. I usually opt for annual interest so imagine I did likewise for this account.
(I have another under 12 month account where a random interest payment was received in Oct' 25)
Anyone else have a matured SDS still doing it's own thing?
