You'd think that Santander would have Chaoot as one of their connect a bank link options, but no such joy! Well, it looks as though for security reasons Cahoot accounts are no longer accessible through the Santander App. I wonder if they're going to release a Cahoot App? Pigs might fly, but I'd love to eat my hat, if they did!KevinG said:
Me too, I hope that's not permanent, it's useful to have app access even if you can't do much other than check the balance and transactions, especially considering what a faff logging into the account online is, with the tortuous verification code they use.Archerychick said:
Yes same here.RosieRooBear said:Hi, is anyone having problems accessing their Cahoot accounts using the Santander app, as neither mine or my husband’s apps will work. We both get an error message saying “Something went wrong. For security reasons you need to log out and start again”. Thought I would check here before I go to the trouble of deleting and reinstalling.

The one thing Santander need to do is get the app notifications enabled for credits and debits especially seen as they stopped the SMS messages earlier this year. Wasnt it going to be autumn time when the app notifications started?1 -
I was told (in a phone call) on 14th March that they were "developing customisable alerts for the App" but no timeline was mentioned - your data may be better than mine.0

Joining Charter and KR in announcing drops of around 0.3 to 0.4% AER even before this month's rate announcement (18th Dec)
The KR new system Issue 9 (instant) at 4.17% AER (4.09% monthly) would be slightly higher, for now0 -

The KR new system Issue 9 (instant) at 4.17% AER (4.09% monthly) would be slightly higher, for nowAt least Charter (I think) allow internal transfers (based on previous experience). That means you should be able open a new Iss69 (4.18%) and transfer from an existing Iss62 (4.36% reducing to 4%) relatively easily without having to go via an external nominated account. With KR, on the other hand you are forced to use an external linked account because they have changed their account processes. That could be a pain because of faster payment limits and bank security restrictions. As far as I know, KR do not allow deposits by cheque (still waiting for a secure message reply from them to confirm this).1 -
There is no need to use an external account between KR new system accounts - it's quick to open an issue 9 and immediately transfer from another new system account such as issue 1. The charter EA account has a 0.01% AER advantage but AFAIK transfers out occur next working day, whereas KR new system is instant.0

I would imagine that @dosh37 was talking about closing a KR account on the old system and transferring the funds to a KR account on the new system.jak22 said:There is no need to use an external account between KR new system accounts - it's quick to open an issue 9 and immediately transfer from another new system account such as issue 1. Yes, you cannot do an internal transfer between accounts on the old system and the new and vice versa. I asked a while ago about transferring from their easy access account (new system) to fixed rate (old system) but had to go via nominated account. New system is excellentmebu60 said:
