  • Hi, is anyone having problems accessing their Cahoot accounts using the Santander app, as neither mine or my husband’s apps will work. We both get an error message saying “Something went wrong. For security reasons you need to log out and start again”. Thought I would check here before I go to the trouble of deleting and reinstalling.

Yes, since yesterday with the same message as you. I've also since deleted the app, re-installed and now my Cahoot User ID isn't recognised in the Santander App along with the same message as you!
Jogster - I have a couple of Monument bank accounts and never had an issue with withdrawing funds. I've personally found that withdrawls are in your nominated / linked bank account within seconds  ;)
Nice to see that the Monmouth RS December depositing issue has been resolved this evening  :)

Me too, I hope that's not permanent, it's useful to have app access even if you can't do much other than check the balance and transactions, especially considering what a faff logging into the account online is, with the tortuous verification code they use.

given most providers use a 6 digit code, I'm surprised an 8 letter/number mix is "tortuous"...

I agree it’s easier to use the app, but the online access is easy using a mobile. The two factor sms code populates automatically for me when it comes through.

I think that's over-stating it a bit.  The codes usually arrive in seconds and you can actually save time by not doing the capitals - as they're not case-sensitive.  I can easily remember 4 digits, so type the first 4, then look at it again and type the second.  Mere seconds.
  • Looks like they’ve stopped Cahoot accounts being accessed via the Santander app unfortunately

There have been threads about it in the Banking forum @Archerychick - it looks like a facility they've removed when doing some upgrades to the app.
