I'm having the same problem which doesn't inspire much confidence and 4.5% rate up until the end of July 26 with a drop to 3% afterwards. Fortunately, I too have alternatives that actually work!friolento said:

Revolut 4.5% AER
Anyone know what the 'blended rate' above £20k is?
"Eligible customers who set up a personal Instant Access Savings account during this period will benefit from a boosted 4.50% AER (variable) until 31 July 2026. This rate will apply up to £20,000. For any amount over that, a blended rate will apply between the boosted rate and the applicable plan rate."

Has been available for ages with a fee. Looks like they just made it free. (probably temporarily). Whether its good compared to Chase comes down to the fact that it's not a tracker so they could keep it good or slash it to oblivion in 3 months.0

But I think allegro120 answered my query. Thanks0 -
I normally go for everything that have a potential to be useful, but probably give this one a miss or wait until mid January and decide then. As yourself, I have a selection of backups currently offering the same rate and above, so not desperate for more at the moment. Also this offer applies to new savings customers only, so it's probably better to save this status for later if they have similar offers in future.Dizzycap said:

True EA entries are easy access savings accounts that can be opened, and the headline interest rate earned, with a minimum balance of no more than £10. These accounts allow unlimited withdrawals. The table includes accounts that have time-limited bonus rates and accounts restricted to new customers only. The table excludes fee-charging accounts, accounts limited to smaller balances, and accounts only available via savings marketplaces. Instant True EA entries are those True EA entries which advertise immediate deposit and withdrawal times 24/7. Highlighted entries show changes since last time: blue for new entries, green for rate increases, red for rate reductions in the respective table.LHV (1) indicates the savings account, different to the current account (2). Despite KR and Charter's rate increases, Tesco's decision to drop its rate usually portends a BR cut.Next BR decision day is next Thursday 18th.This is the last scorecard of the year - and possibly ever. I'm trying to take a break from this stuff at least over the holidays, possibly into next year as well, not sure yet. Merry Christmas.I no longer check the forums as regularly as I used to.
