Question for all you rate watchers out there.
I was just checking the legacy account rate card (available here) for the Online Bonus Triple Access (Issue 7) account, which still shows at 4.35% (since 18/9/25). As I currently only have £1 in this account so may not get the eMail, have PBS announced a rate reduction for this account/announced rate reductions in general? I have a decent stash in the West Brom Triple Access Issue 1 that drops to 4.3% on 2nd Feb, so would move that to PBS if it's going to stay at 4.35%, but not if there's likely to be a 0.25% cut coming over the hill!
Thank you for sharing any relevant info  :)
The issue 8 rate is going down by 0.2% (not 0.25%.) on 5 Feb.  Of course that doesn't mean that issue 7 will go down by the same amount.  But you may want to leave the WestBrom money where it is
To find out you could always phone Principality, in the past I've been able to find out about rate cuts to NLA accounts as soon as they've announced cuts to currently available accounts.

I would've done this myself but I haven't really had chance to during their working hours.

Gatehouse Easy Access account dropping from 3.60% AER to 3.25% AER (3.54% Gross to 3.20% Gross) on Friday 13th February for existing accounts - it's already at that new rate for new accounts.

I have been with West Brom for a while but not used them much. Transactions on the Websave platform seemed reasonable. On the Savings platform that the Triple Access Issue 1 and it seems most of its other accounts are now on, it seems very old school in processing transactions - you basically send a request for a member of staff to process a transfer or withdrawal. The website does say this can take up to 2 days - although I expected in practice it would be faster - turns out it wasn't.
What is peoples experience of West Brom (non-websave) accounts? There are some good interest rates but  responses and actions seem very slow. Do they actually always action transactions within 2 working days or can it be delayed longer?

In the space of a year they've gone from a very competitive £4.75% to a risible 3.25%. I've only had £1 with them since 19:03:25 when they dropped to 4.35%.

I have both WB Four Access Saver Iss 2 and Triple Access Saver Iss 1 accounts.
A recent email indicates Triple Access Saver Iss 1 rate is reducing from 4.55% to 4.3%.
However, the older Four Access Saver Iss 2 still indicates 4.4%.
Bizarre - do they know what they are doing?

I haven't received a notification yet, either, both as far as I remember and as far as I can tell. The General T&Cs say
"If the change may have a substantial effect and may be to your disadvantage (a ‘material’ change), we will let you know at least 14 days beforehand, usually by letter or email. You will have 30 days from the date we tell you about the change to close (or switch) your account, without losing interest or paying any fees"
We haven't reached 14 days beforehand yet, but we have reached 30. Does that "without losing interest" mean "no 'loss of interest' penalty", or "your interest rate will stay the same for 30 days"?

And this morning the email notification from West Brom arrives, saying
"If you want to move your savings because of this change, we won’t apply any notice periods or withdrawal charges on your account(s) from 20 January 2026 up to and including 18 February 2026."
So I think that means this is a general email for all kinds of accounts, and the interest rate will go down on Feb 3, that not counting as a "withdrawal charge".
