Hope it's not a stupid question
Just got access to my Cahoot Saving account (opened when the interest offered was 4.4%) - is it normal that the interest showed in the account is 4.31%? I assume they show the gross interest?

Yes, that's normal if you choose the monthly option.

Yes, If you went for annual interest it would have shown 4.4%.  Most providers will display gross if the interest is paid monthly.

Tesco Internet Saver now showing 3.95%
Thanks. They've done this by reducing the bonus interest rate on accounts opened from 8th January by 0.1%. The standard variable rate hasn't changed yet following the December base rate cut.

I've got an account opened between 16th September and 8th December 2025 with a minimal balance which has a 3.15% bonus making the total AER on that account 4.2% AER.

The Bonus Saver Issue 15 at 4.0% is NLA. Issue 16 is 3.9%. But like the Issue 15 has a £100k max instead of the £50k applicable to current Bonus Savers.
