Apologies if already mentioned, the Santander Easy Access Saver Limited Edition (Issue 3) drops to 4% from 1 October.
Thanks for the information. Also had notification in their app this morning. They’re also extending the terms for another 10 months:
nice reminder - that extra 10 months and 4% was announced in June (posted here & Santander sent a document) and for me starts on September 3rd - so basically extends it until July 2025.

Thanks for that. Yes, I’ve just located the document Santander sent in June. I will be moving some of my savings around and also consolidating balances, once I know all the new rates from my other savings providers.

Unfortunately Ulster are dropping their rate from October as well 4.75
Just spotted the email, Bank rate drop 0.25% saving rate down 0.45%.

Under the T&Cs, they have to give savers 60 days notice of a rate reduction. It seems that they are anticipating another base-rate cut from the Bank of England before October. I fully expect this account to still be close to/at the top of the charts when their rate cut takes effect in October.

With Chase dropping it's rate I have a choice of moving my savings to Cahoot (my account is 5.09%). Not sure if it worth doing this now or waiting a week two to see if Cahoot cut their rate too.
  • @ikr2, I’ve already moved mine to Cahoot from Chase as Cahoot have to give 60 days notice on a rate reduction.

which Cahoot account? Simple Saver (Issue 2) that pays 5.12% AER?? Cahoot tends to give 2 months notice of rate drops on their EA savings accounts, so the current rate you're getting should remain until this time in October.

I have Issue 2 and the headline rate is only for 12 months, after which it matures to a low interest savings account - I had my maturity letter yesterday telling me of it's October expiry - so any Cahoot rate changes won't affect this account for me.

Cahoot do have an Issue 4 paying 4.85% variable for a year - so it might be an idea to open that so you have another option going forward.

Apologies if already mentioned, search didn't pick it up.

Aldermore double access issue 1 (recently NLA) is reducing from 4.9% to 4.75% AER from 3rd Sept, making it the same rate as issue 2.

Change showing on their pdf of all current and previous rates (link downloads a pdf file): https://www.aldermore.co.uk/media/25ahbzw5/personal-savings-accounts-rates.pdf

Pdf states lots of their other accounts are dropping too.
