I've started closing down a lot of accounts elsewhere like Chip etc as they only offer better rates for new customers and don't see many competing for top spot anymore and rates sideways or down from here.1 -

Same problem.Trustpilot review:-Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Customers express significant dissatisfaction with various aspects of the company. Many consumers report issues with customer service, describing it as unhelpful and difficult to navigate. People also highlight problems related to the location, particularly the limited availability of branches. Reviewers frequently mention negative experiences with payments, indicating potential issues with transactions and account management. The contact methods, including phone and online support, are also a source of frustration for many. Furthermore, several consumers have expressed concerns about the functionality and user-friendliness of the app.I don't think I will bother with any further attempts.0

So, no real change as it says:
"* have a Santander Edge® or a Santander Edge® Explorer current account."
So nothing has changed? - You can still have the Edge Saver with the Edge current account.1
