Have you tried an internal transfer, allowing you to pay externally from a different account?RosieRooBear said:Cahoot Simple Saver
I opened a joint simple saver this morning and have been able to transfer a couple of pound in. When I went to try to transfer out it won’t allow me too, either on the Santander app or online. Have tried on both mine and hubby’s account. It gives me a message to say something’s gone wrong and to call them. The thing is I don’t want to call them as they’ll then see that myself and hubby have 12 Sunny Day Savers between us 😂 and they might want to close some down. Has anyone else had this problem? Our other joint accounts are working as they should.

Just tried on your suggestion, and it would accept payment into it from my Barclays current account as the account is recognised. Didn’t proceed with it as I don’t want even another pound in it if I can’t get it back out without making a phonecalljaypers said:

I've never tried to make a withdrawal on the days of opening Simple Savers, but I recall making internal transfers which worked.RosieRooBear said:Cahoot Simple Saver

Something slightly different. I have issues 10, 11 and 13. I wanted to upgrade 11 to Sunny Day, but the system wouldn't let me. I can upgrade 10, but 11 and 13 are not on the list. Previously I could upgrade all SSs and SDs of previous issues, I wonder if it is a glitch or I'm missing something. I don't want to call Cahoot for the same reason, don't want to jeopardise my arsenal
It was an internal transfer I tried but it won’t let me do that, can pay in just not transfer out to another Cahoot account 🤷🏼♀️. Might just have to leave it alone, it’s only got £2 in anyway.
I seem to remember that 24 working hours is needed before you can withdraw or transfer from a newly opened account. This may mean you cannot withdraw or transfer until Monday or Tuesday. It happened to me and meant I could not access some £800. I complained and received compensation as I maintained I should have been made aware of that rule before allowing me to pay in to a new account. So I would leave it and try next week.1 -

Chip Instant Access Account slips from 4.80% to 4.07% for new customers, thus crashing out of the top 10.
Chip Instant Access Account increases from 4.07% to 4.32% for new customers, thus returning to the top 10 (4th I think).

Did you try on the Cahoot Online Banking website, instead of Santander?RosieRooBear said:Cahoot Simple Saver

Yes, tried on mine & hubby’s Cahoot online and Santander app, still no joy today. I’ll wait until Monday to check and if it still doesn’t work I’ll just leave my £2 sitting there. I opened individual ones for us both at the same time and they are working as they should. Not that I need any of them yet as still have the 4.55% account and enough Sunny Day Savers. Maybe it was just one account too many 😂wiseonesomeofthetime said:

If it is a monthly version, I don't think your £2 will earn anything. In my understanding, Cahoot doesn't pay interest if it is less than 1p and sub-pennies don't roll over. I had £1 in some of them for a more than months and didn't receive any interest, then I topped them up to £3 and my monthly interest started to arrive. I think for 4.4% rate the balance needs to be somewhere around £2.80.RosieRooBear said:

@allegro120, thank you, yes it is a monthly version. I’ll add another £1 in so I’m at least earning interest on it.allegro120 said:

Opened my Cahoot sunny day saver last Sunday and haven’t received any paperwork to access my account online.
I know post doesn’t arrive today, but should I be worried for not hearing anything?0 -
IIRC mine took about a week. It'll probably come early next week I would imagineSFCooper said:Opened my Cahoot sunny day saver last Sunday and haven’t received any paperwork to access my account online.
