How are people finding Ulster? Same day withdrawals? My account is open, but I've not funded it yet.

from past experience with their Loyalty Saver, withdrawals should be instant (to my Cahoot current account).

So, lve just recently  opened a cahoot simple saver 4.2%  with the magnificent  amount of £1 in it.
Am I right in thinking you can upgrade the account to a sunny day saver at 5%?

I also have an SD saver for a few months.
    Thanks.

yes - the interest cycle will remain the same; the interest payment date might change and there may be an interim interest payment before the new regular cycles begins - though with £1 in the account, that last part shouldn't apply to you.

Unless you need to contact customer support. Took almost five minutes to get past all the menus, listen to various "stop bugging us and go to the website" messages before getting into the queue. Once through to a human being, the promised call back within 24 hours is now 48 hours old and I still can't make a withdrawal. Online Banking doesn't think I have a card and card reader, when they're sitting in front of me, and Customer Service confirm they can see it on their systems too, so there shouldn't be a problem.  :s
That said, Faster Payments in and out are instant and the 6.30pm "End of Day" cutover is helpful if you need to move a bigger chunk of money on one calendar day, but you need a card reader (or hand over your biometric data) to do that.
