Might be worth checking the spam folder too - my partner had a 3rd 'sorry, we can't open your account' email arrive some time after receiving the first two emails, saying they couldn't confirm ID. Looks like something must have subsequently gone wonky with the Miltek side of things as there were definitely two ticks for photo ID and the liveness test on the web page at the time.janusd said:
assuming you've already had the 2 emails for the account (1. get ready to start saving and 2. welcome), then it should be showing within 2 business days - so likely sometime today or tomorrow - once it shows, then you're good to fund and use.jaypers said:Opened my Ulster Bank on Thursday 2nd and account STILL not showing. Doesn’t bode well and think I’ll not bother with them.
if it helps, for me there were 7 hours between receiving the first (Wed 1st night) and second (Thursday 2nd morning) above emails - was able to fund on Friday 3rd.1 -

True EA entries are easy access savings accounts which can be opened, and pay the headline interest rate, with a minimum balance of no more than £10. These accounts allow unlimited withdrawals. The table includes accounts with time-limited bonus rates and accounts restricted to new customers - but excludes fee-charging accounts, accounts limited to smaller balances, and accounts only available via savings marketplaces. Instant True EA entries are those True EA accounts which advertise immediate deposit and withdrawals 24/7. Highlighted entries show changes since last time: blue for new entries, red for rate reductions, green for rate increases to the respective table.0 -
it's only for new customers.SeriousHoax said:

EASY ACCESS / REGULAR SAVERS
Just out of curiosity, are most of the posters on this thread just easy access enthusiasts? I ask because I recognise some names from the regular savers thread.

I think many of us follow both threads. We want the best easy access feeder accounts to keep the funds for the regular savers in.UKX69 said:EASY ACCESS / REGULAR SAVERS

Indeed. It's quite common for people to have EA accounts then drip-feed the money into regular savers so there's inevitably going to be a degree of cross over between those who post in either thread.BestSeagull said:

Personally I seldom keep anything in easy access accounts these days as everything's either in ISAs or regular savers but occasionally keep money in EA accounts for a day or two if I've a surplus of funds from maturing regular savers, or quite often I get paid on 28th of the month so have spare funds that get kept in EA accounts till 1st.
I am much more of a regular saver enthusiast than an EA enthusiast and don't follow the EA thread as closely as I do the regular savers thread (in part because I maintain the latter) but still keep an eye on things here.3 -
I think most dedicated savers on here use easy access for feeding regular savers. For me personally they both are equally important. I store my float and some emergency funds in EAs and use RSs for maximising my returns.UKX69 said:EASY ACCESS / REGULAR SAVERS

That's my Family Building Society online saver iss 9 a/c closed. Rubbish customer service, made a 25k withdrawal yesterday several hours before the cut-off point for same day transfer to nominated account, money didn't arrive. Phone call this morning, very dismissive call handler, elevated to a supervisor who investigated and found there had been a delay but the reason was unknown. Won't repeat the whole convo here but suffice to say it was kafkaesque and FBS come across as Dickensian in their processes. Advise withdrawing the day before you need the money if it's time sensitive, or maybe two days before because although they state money arrives before end of working day, and their phone lines close at 5pm, they are working to a 23.59 cut-off!0

Sympathy with you. Had a few accounts with them in the past but one left with just £1 in it. Took three attempts to withdraw it with nothing happening, two secure messages and an email before the account was closed. Absolute shambles.Sherbertfizz said:That's my Family Building Society online saver iss 9 a/c closed.
