Fool question on the Ulster Ltd Ed Saver.  If you don't have an app and want to operate it online only then it looks like you need a card reader for withdrawals.  But is there actually a card issued for this account for the card reader to read?  The web page says No card issued at the moment but of course I have only just opened the account and did not have another account with Ulster (or NatWest for that matter).
In the same position, couldn't spot how to order a card reader, so asked Cora. The response shows the card reader order page is off 'Security' tab, also stated that if you didn't have a card currently, then ordering a card reader would get you a reader, a card and a pin. Should all be with you in 10 days.
Yes I probably complicated things by asking if a Nationwide Card Reader would work and when I was told it would I then asked if I could order the card separately only to be told I would need to use the app or visit a branch to do that.

I think I will just order the card reader.

Yes, online banking also states it updates on business days only:
This is based on your balance from end of last business day

Ulster Bank Limited Saver Account interest. I have been talking to Cora. Had to ask the question 3 times to get someone to answer re bonus interest. This is their final reply:

No, Malcom. You only lose the bonus interest rate for the days you are below the £5000 requirement, as interest is calculated daily.

Just out of interest I asked for a new anytime banking card to which the agent replied 'I'll stop your debit card immediately and send a new one'. Which planet are these people on?

They look the same on the app and online, but Ulster operates differently from NW/RBS.  The product range is different too.

This is how it works with Loyalty Saver,  I had my balance reduced to zero and back to £5k+ - full interest was paid on the periods I had £5k in.  Limited Saver is a replica, the only new feature I found was monthly interest, so I wouldn't expect this part of the deal to be any different.

Mine is now showing as 4.41% Gross 4.5% AER - but maybe I added my money earlier in the day so it showed up at close of business on Friday.

Mine is the same. I added £1 earlier, and then made it up to £5000 this afternoon.

Re: Ulster Bank Limited Edition Saver

The cut off must be quite early in the day as I sent my money over yesterday evening, not particularly late maybe around 7pm, and the interest is showing as standard rate because of my balance at "close of business". I naively assumed they'd check the balance at midnight! I've sent my money back to the accounts it came from and will try again on Monday.

Another annoyance is that I'm not receiving deposit notifications from the app for this new account (but I am receiving money sent notifications for it). I sent £1 to Loyalty Saver and £1 to this account as a test this morning and only got a notification about the Loyalty Saver deposit. Is anyone else getting deposit notifications in the (Android) app for deposits to the Limited Edition Saver?
