Could try Skipton's Help & Support number 0345 850 1722, open 'till noon on Saturday. Don't know what identity checks they do but having the account number is probably a given.proudgecko said:It was about 9am
I’ve found the money , it was re-credited to my hsbc account
I can’t call to find out why as I’m away from home and I don’t know my telephone banking details0 -
Thanks - I’ve just moved it to chase instead, successfully - not the best interest rate but better than the 0% in HSBC
I’ll phone to get explanations when I’m home and sort it then, with a complaint if necessary as I’d have expected HSBC to contact me if it was held for security checks

SKIPTONBeen having a few hiccups with Skipton recently. Not related to deposits, but in general function. One of my nominated accounts disappeared and yesterday the app on my iPad refused to work and asked me to re-enter my details, then told me I had reached my limit on apps being used! Strange.0

Are you sure some scallywag hasn't logged in on another device using your account details and has deleted one of your nominated accounts so they can replace it with their own, ie possible fraudulent activity?UKX69 said:SKIPTONBeen having a few hiccups with Skipton recently. Skipton - I think it only likes the app on one device, as it was the only one I wasn't able to automatically transfer to my new phone recently. Do you have the app on a phone as well?UKX69 said:SKIPTONBeen having a few hiccups with Skipton recently. Not related to deposits, but in general function. I keep a very close eye on my finances and anyway, I’m the only one in my household who uses banking apps - but that is not to say that skullduggery may be afoot! But checked out online and OK.gwapenut said:

I have the app on my phone as well and that has always worked with no problem as the app on my iPad has - until recently, but by coincidence I updated the iPad OS yesterday to ios26 and now the app is running with as it should. The gremlins have gone home😁
