So I'm thinking of transferring from Chase - my boosted rate has expired to Raisin (Vida Savings) - anyone done similar and is it an easy process - loved Chase but need a higher rate

Don't close your Chase account but move the funds into the next best rated saver.
I think that's Atom at the moment.

With raisin acting as a middleman, Vida savings won't be anywhere near as easy access as Chase. Depends what you need.

After opening one easy access with raisin, although a different company, I have now kept my raisin for just fixed term accounts.

    Don't close Chase entirely.

isn't the rate direct with Vida (4.38%) better than opening a Vida account through Raisin (4.25%) ??

I don't like Raisin, so i'm probably biased, but I would always prefer to bank direct with an institution rather than using Raisin.

Cahoot (4.55%) and Hodge (4.40%) would provide instant deposits and unlimited instant withdrawals if that is a requirement of yours.

Re: KRBS closing account (old 10 digit login), do you need to send a secure message to do this? A withdrawal request for the full balance brings the warning 'below the minimum balance of £1, amend the details'. Can't see a 'close account' option anywhere?
in theory yes... but dear God it's a painful and tedious process!  :open_mouth:
I withdrew my balance, bar that £1, last week back to my nominated account and then sent a secure message requesting that that £1 either be paid to my nominated account or transferred to the new KRBS account (with username)... they replied to that *secure message* that I needed to send them a secure message requesting closure - but I had clearly stated that.
so I replied to that requesting again and just now I received the following secure message... it's like trying to get blood from a stone - i'll try a third time, but if that fails, i'll wait for it to be migrated across to the new system!

I will add that it takes them 3 or 4 working days to reply to each message - so if you need it doing quickly, phone them!
Thank you for contacting us regarding your Kent Reliance account.

If you would like to transfer funds into the Bonds and the new Easy access
account Issue - 1 available on our website, the first step would be to
close your current account. The funds can then be transferred to your
    nominated bank account.

Once your account is closed, you can proceed with funding the new account.
Please confirm if you would like to close the account and transfer the funds to the existing nominated account.
on my ongoing mission to close a Kent Reliance account since the 17th July, some information received from them might be of use to others in the future...
Further to your query, we would like to inform you that this is a monthly interest account, and unfortunately, closures cannot be processed on the last two working days of the month as the interest is pre-calculated for the whole month.
Could you please confirm if you are happy to proceed with the closure on 04 August 2025.
so just another week until I get my £1 balance returned.
I wonder what they would do if you said no, you are not happy to proceed with the closure on 4 August. Seems odd to ask if it's ok, when they have already said they can't do it any earlier!

Sorry if I've missed any chat on this. With regards to the Skipton bonus saver has anyone else opened both the members bonus saver and standard bonus saver? Depositing 5k max in members and excess funds in the standard bonus account? Nothing in the T&Cs against this?

    Thanks

Yes, I have both the "Members Bonus Saver" (Maxed to 5k) at 5%, and the "Bonus Saver Issue 12" at 4.5% (with only 1 pound in as I currently have other better easy access rates to use first)
