I'm on holiday at the moment and won't have access to any post for a couple of weeks. Does anyone know if I can open and fund a new EA account with either cahoot, snoop, principality, skipton or coventry online same day without needing to wait for any user IDs or authentication codes in the post?
I would have thought of those five, Snoop might be your only viable option - though I don't have any account with them, so I couldn't say for sure. The other four I do have accounts with and I think they all originally involved paperwork for the first account (not so much to fund, but to confirm the nominated accounts for withdrawals).
if you already had an account with Cahoot, then opening, and funding, another would be immediate - though I assume you haven't. If you're not bothered about withdrawing for the time being, then Atom should be an option to open and fund online.

I had an account with cahoot just over a year ago but closed it. I am still able to log in using my old credentials but it looks like I will need to apply for a new account while logged out. Not sure if it will connect to my old login credentials during the application process or perhaps I will have to set up new ones.

I have decided against Snoop. Don't like the idea of my data being harvested.

Yes even with a Cahoot login you seem to have to apply for new accounts while logged out, I have done this at least a dozen times over the years.

it should do - ideally use the same contact details as previously (especially email address) and it should be opened immediately.

there is a link to open accounts whilst logged in, but it just opens a new tab/window - so you might as well just go direct to the Cahoot site and open it whilst offline... if the details match, then as soon as you login again, the account should be open.

Hi, when is the interest rate dropping on issue 58 on the Charter Savings easy access? I've lost my email from a few weeks ago telling me the news.

I'll transfer it to cahoot now that I've got my details from snail mail but probably leave charter with £1

If you open EA62 then close EA58 (make a transaction, use full balance) transferring it to EA62 you'll get the accrued interest too. Then shift all bar £1 to Cahoot. Close and transfer all automated and fairly immediate.

Re: KRBS closing account (old 10 digit login), do you need to send a secure message to do this? A withdrawal request for the full balance brings the warning 'below the minimum balance of £1, amend the details'. Can't see a 'close account' option anywhere?
