Chase, quick off the mark as suspected.

Our saver interest rate is changing

Because the Bank of England has recently reduced its base rate, the standard Chase saver variable rate will change from 3.00% AER (2.96% gross) to 2.75% AER (2.72% gross), effective from 15 May 2025.

So for those of us who got recent boost to 4.8% will be 4.55% from 15th May.
I've put 15th May in my diary a couple of days ago :) Now just need to watch the shaw, most of EAs will be dropping rates very soon (GB has already announced it on 29 April).  I hope Cahoot will stick to their 60-days notice - I've got a space for £12k in Sunny Days @4.75%... I won't be surprised if in a couple of weeks time Chase's 4.55% will become the best home for EA cash again.

The GB Bank cut already announced is 4.7% down to 4.35% effective 13:05:25.
Yes, that's what I said, but for me it is from 4.6% (I have issue 2).

West Brom, Online Four Access Saver Issue 1.  When I logged on this afternoon, this account was showing a rate of 4.65% (which is the current rate for issue 2), which was a surprise to me as my spreadsheet and the West Brom's leaflet for rates no longer available is showing it at 4.40% from March 2025.  Is this showing for anyone else who may have one of these?

Yes, just checked and also showing 4.65%. I'd moved most of the funds out mid March and not looked since.
Wonder if they're actually paying it ?

Issue 2 was suppose to drop to 4.4% on 14 Mar (I have the  email), but I just checked the £1 that I still have in there, and it too shows 4.65%.

EDIT:  Actually I still have about £800 in there. I forgot about the interest paid on 30th April - nice surprise!  Hope it is actually getting 4.65%.

Haven't seen it mentioned but Cahoot Simple Saver (issue 9) is available currently paying 4.41%AER (variable) for 12 months. 60 days (or so) notice of a rate reduction.
I've opened a Cahoot issue 9 simple saver. This account might look quite reasonable for the next few months once the interest rate cuts elsewhere kick in. They actually gave about 3 months notice on the last cut rather than the contractual 60 days. Has anyone managed to close a Cahoot issue 4 simple saver (4.35% AER) and transfer the closing balance to the issue 9 (4.41% AER)? The terms and conditions say you can close the account by phoning in or writing. But was wondering if secure message might work also? Got a decent amount of accrued but unpaid interest in the issue 4 which is why I don't want to leave just a £1 in there and wait for the 12 month point.

"Account closure" is an option in Cahoot's secure message menu, but, oddly they won't close an account that way! 🙄🤷‍♂️

Thanks. Managed to close it by phone now. But they tell me you can close by secure message now apparently (that's a recent change). Just need to send secure message giving details of which account to close (account number and sort code) and move to (account number and sort code) and your address, and where to pay the trailing interest.
Good to know! It must be very recent because just last month I and others here were told no when asking to close an ac by secure message.
