  • I’m on an eat up challenge too. I really need to defrost the small freezer. It’s actually quite satisfying to see the contents going down.
It's a tall upright freezer that i'm trying to eat down as it is badly frozen up and needs defrosting, in all honesty I think it needs replacing, we bought it 2nd hand and it's never been quite right and the door is a pain and doesn't fit properly.
  • Morning all, pottering kind of morning and i don't seem to be getting much done, dogs have been walked and some parcels wrapped and that's about all.
3 items sold overnight on V, which have been packaged up using recycled packaging, just a few pounds made but it's more clutter out of the house, listed 2 items on £bay that have been on V for a while though it was worth a shot now there is free listing, if they don't sell in the next few weeks i will send to charity.
Tonights fodder is spicy chicken goujons in HM flatbreads with salad and wedges, also taken a small loaf of bread our of the freezer, a shoulder of lamb for tomorrows roast and a pack of ham for DH sandwiches, he has got some extra work tomorrow and Monday with a friend but needs a packed lunch making, which also means  I better get some flapjack made so he has a sweet treat.

Finances are ticking along and i'm hoping for a chilled out weekend.

    Take care xx
  • New freezer list-
    Main meals

    1 small pack chick breast
    1 minced lamb
    1 leg lamb
    1 lamb shoulder
    1 stewing lamb
    1 pack quick fry steak
    2 packs stewing beef
    1 beef brisket (2meals)
    1 pork chops
    1 pack sausage
    1 gammon joint
    1 pack rump steak
    1 small beef roasting joint
    1 cheese ham quiche
    1 pack chicken goujons
    1  box battered cod
    1 bag scampi
1 pack of quarter pounder beefburgers
    whole chicken

Also have, sliced ham, fishfingers, individual pizzas, 1 large pizza, garlic bread, bread rolls, sliced loaf, block cheese, block butter, icecream, frozen fruit, frozen veg and some frozen puff pastry.

Plenty to make meals out of and i'm sure there is probably more.

Morning all couple more items used up, still seems to loads in the upright freezer as well as the chest freezer, taken out some cooked ham for lunch sandwiches today and the ice cream has been eaten, also used some frozen raspberries to have with the left over plain yoghurt that i used to make flatbreads.
  • Some money into bank account and have sent £200 to regular saver, put £30 fuel in the car and paid my credit card bill £115 so thats back down to £0.
The 2 items moved from v1nted to 3bay have sold, so a few pounds made and sent to the emergency pot.

Housework day today as i'm out with friends for lunch tomorrrow and then work and vets Friday, not sure i'm going to get any washing dry outside as it's damp and overcast, I will light the woodburner in a bit and anything still damp can go on the airer in front of it overnight.

    Take care xx

  • Well it turned into a lovely day after a damp and cloudy start, managed to get a load of washing dry and i swept the drive and raked the garden of all the leaves from the windy weekend, looks much better now and got a free workout.
Pasta with pesto, mushrooms and spinach for tea tonight, need to look at meal plan and swap some meals about as DH is out tomorrow night and late home from work on Saturday.

Managed a few small paying surveys but not much about, have got 0nep0ll back up in the 20s so hopefully i will hit payout next week.
  • Evening all, started the day with a lovely autumnal dog walk through the woodland, dogs loved running through the falllen leaves.
Spent the morning fetching wood in to fill log baskets and pottering around the garden, 2 loads of washing dry and hopefully tomorrow will stay dry and i can get the dogs beds and bedding washed and dried.
Met friend for lunch at a local cafe, lovely bowl of soup and sandwich with a pot of tea cost me £13, lovely couple of hours spent chatting and putting the world to rights.
Finances ticking along , £13.50 in to account from various places, £5 £bay, £3.50 v1nted and hit lucky on prime opinions as my 7 day streak bonus amount was 300 points which gave me enough points to cash £5 out to paypal, all monies have been sent to savings.
Whilst I was out at lunchtime DD did a bit of baking as there was some leftover buttercream in the fridge that i had made at the weekend, so a dozen butterfly buns have been made.
This afternoon i got on with some ironing that was hanging about, added a jumper to the charity bag, just not in love with it anymore and a couple of books as well. Bathroom cleaned and clean bedding on bed, ummed and arred about putting the fleecy winter bedding on but decided it isn't cold enough yet, i havn't even got our CH on yet, the woodburner is enough to take the chill off the house in the evening.
Tea tonight was a whoopsied ham and mozzerella sourdough pizza and i found a pizza base in the freezer which i covered with some left over pesto, red onions, baby plum tomatoes and parmasan cheese, once cooked i added a drizzle of balsamic glaze and it was delicious, also made some homemade coleslaw to have on the side.

My dog loves rummaging through fallen leaves (so do I 😆). Yesterday we were walking through them and more were falling on us from the trees, it was quite magical.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • Happy weekend all.

Quick round up to keep me straight.

Money in so a couple of bills paid and all DD have gone out of bank account, Big food shop this week £135 eek, but there was a couple of christmas items and had rundown/out of quite a few things in my use up October. Have placed a Christmas b00ths food order and was very restrained, came in under £100 and have ordered some lovely treats, everything else will come from aldi. Had a couple of survey payouts and a couple of sales all of which have gone to savings.
Microwave had a funny fit and was smoking when i warmed up some milk, on investigation there was some rusty patches at the inside top back, not sure if this caused it to start smoking but decided it needed to be got rid of, a replacement has been purchased in the sale for £60, its nothing fancy as we don;t need an all singing dancing one, just something that can reheat a plated meal or a mug of milk.

    PWPS xx
