Morning, house feels quiet with both DD and DH away, DS landed back yesterday and popped in for an hour. It was lovely to see him and nice to catch up.
Yesterday the weather was torrential, walked the dogs first thing and got soaked, ended up getting changed into leggings and a thick hoodie and hibernated for the rest of the day, dogs went into the garden a few times to do there business and soon scooted back in, seen on faceb00k this morning that there has been flooding in the area.
Today couldn't be much different, sun is shining and it's supposed to continue all week, first load of washing has been put on ready to hang out, hopefully i will get into the garden later on as it needs a tidy up. Last bag of potatoes need digging up, I was thinking about doing some winter ones but decided against it as they are always cheap in the supermarket around Christmas time.
Yesterday I spent some time doing life admin, organised some paperwork, checked money pots and what needs to be paid between now and the end of the year, DH decided which Christmas market he fancied visiting and I have book an overnight stay in a hotel about a mile outside of the city we are visiting as it worked out cheaper and i don't mind a walk.
Meal plan for next week has been produced and a small shopping list made.
Mushroom pesto pasta
Beef and bean chilli with nachos, guac and sour cream.
HM pizza & salad
Chicken casserole, Fondant potatoes, veg
Smash burgers with hallumi, fries & HM coleslaw.
Chicken, chickpea and spinach curry, rice and naan.
Toad in the hole, mash and veg.
Breakfasts - fruit and yoghurt, HM granola, eggs on toast, fruit loaf.
Lunches - lots of soups in the freezer, cheese toastie, leftovers.
Snacks - popcorn, apples/pears, nuts and dried fruit, cheese and crackers, banana bread in freezer.
CC needs paying lots of bits that soon add up and nothing exciting bought, In the past few weeks i've bought oil to do the worktops in the kitchen, new light bulbs for the outside lights, hadn't noticed 2 were not working i'm presuming because its been summer but now the nights are drawing in i realised 2 security lights havn't been coming on and a new frying pan.
Happy Sunday xx1
