A new chapter is ....... FINALLY HERE

So i'm sloping back in with a new diary, been missing (but still reading) for 10 months, MH took a nose dive in October, all work related and quite frankly horrid. After lots of chats with DH,crying and not really knowing what to do with my life I spoke to my manager and as of September I will be working less hours with a different team, less responsibility and hopefully a better life balance. Don't want to go into too much detail on here in case someone from RL reads. I have also been asked to do some work for a friend over the summer hols which will be brilliant as i have 6 weeks off, it will only be about 10 hours a week and there may be more on going a few hours a week in sept/Oct, the work is seasonal but i'm happy to take anything and it is very much a go and do the job and come home again, no bringing work home or being emailed at a weekend
.
So whats been happening.......
Apart from the stress of above we have been trying to enjoy life whilst saving money, paying for the million and one things that seem to have broken the last few months, getting DD through her last year at uni (nearly there) and trying to keep all the balls up in the air.
Debt - we have a small amount 2k on a cc 0% which runs out in August, we decided to use a CC when loads of things died a few months ago (laptop,tv and boiler broke) didn't want to take money out of savings and loose interest, so just need to pay off CC before offer runs out.
Mortgage is going down and is now at £49550, we are on track to have this paid off in 23 months and i'm very excited by the prospect.
We have had 2 lovely holidays in the past 6 months and this is where we continue to spend money, travelling and seeing the world is something that feeds my soul, long term plan is a motor home and just packing up, but this is for after the mortgage is paid. In the meantime little holidays here and there keep us motivated and the ability to a glimpse into what the future may hold.
Both children are busy living their lives, along with many ups and downs they seem to getting a hang of adulting although still need mum and dad but would tell you different
.
Update more shortly xx

This week has been half term and i have to say quite productive, managed a few hours at new job, decorated bedroom which has needed doing for ages, used paint we already had but did splurge on new curtains from dunelm which were in the sale and had 50% off.
Money - Payday yesterday but as i was working and then went out with DH yesterday afternoon before he left for a week away I didn't get chance to do money shuffle until this morning.
£100 OP to mortgage
£100 to joint saving
£100 to holiday 1
£140 to holiday 2
£75 to christmas pot
Also withdrew £40 from Prime opinion and sent it to hols 2 account.
Continuing with surveys/ebay/vinted etc and all of this gets thrown at holidays.
Holidays - 3 currently booked, Hol 1 is in Oct and is a mini break stopping in a cottage with family, Hols 2 is a major 2 week one just me and DH to the caribbean and hols 3 is a mini break for my birthday to spain in April.
I'm sure there is lots ore to update xx2 -

It's been a lovely quiet day, pottered about and got a few jobs done. DH has arrived safely although he did get held up for a couple of hours not long after getting out of Calais due to an accident. So all good.
Frugal day as all meals from stores, ate up some homous/hummus (sp) for lunch with breadsticks, carrots and some cheese, piece of HM cherry and coconut cake for mid afternoon snack and leftover pasta bake for tea wirh some summer berries for pud. Made some overnight oats to use up some greek yoghurt, added some frozen blueberries.
Frugal wins-
No spend day and all food from stores.
Salvaged 2 zip lock bags, washed out and ready to reuse,
3 loads of washing dried outside.
