Afternoon all.
Glorious day today and have spent most of it out in the garden, spent the morning weeding and cutting back bushes that seem to have taken over, lots of washing has been dried on the line and spent an hour lazily reading my book and eating an icecream (aldi fake magnum)
No news in moneyland, caught up with some surveys whilst eating breakfast and checked banking. But it has been a NSD.
DH is doing lamb chops on the bbq tonight and i have made up some roasted veg couscous using up some bits ffrom the fridge also made a red pepper and kidney bean chilli as a side dish, leftovers will be bunged in a jacket spud tomorrow night as there is only me here.
Happy Saturday xx0 -
Good morning, after a couple of lovely days it is raining so i suppose i should make it a housework day as i'm not in work.
It's been a bit hectic in the PWPS household as we have been having some plumbing work done, new radiators and radiators in the old part of the house where there wasn't radiators, after a very noisy and messy few days the work is complete and hoping for a warmer winter. Havn't had bill yet but money will be taken from savings, DH thinking its going to be about £1800 which i want repaying back into savings asap.
Apart from above finances are ticking along, sold an item on v1nted so that is £10 to my clothes pot and have redeemed £5 from pr1me opini0ns which has already landed in paypa1 and been transferred to savings.
Off to do a grocery shop shortly, I plan to keep it as low as possible to claw back some money into savings, I have done a meal plan and list, i have £25 in nectar points so i'm hoping its going to be under £50 this week.
Baked yesterday and made scones and flapjack so DH has sweet treats available, thinking of getting back into baking bread which i havn't done since the kids were little and i know it is something that others do on the boards, would have to be by hand though as i got rid of my bread maker a few years ago as i wasn't using it. I do have a dough hook attachment for my kitchen aid so maybe i should give it a go.

Popped into small town this morning, managed to drop off parcel it's often hit and miss at this locker drop off as th whether there is space. Went to Mr S and did the smartshop so i could see how much i was spending, shopping came to £40.70 and i used £25 of nect@r points so just £15.70 of actually money.
Bagged a free cucumber from the neighbours this morning whilst walking the dogs so that got crossed of the shopping list, they often put their excess garden produce out with a free sign.
Cooked some rice and left it to cool for tonights egg fried rice, using free eggs from the chucks, also found a piece of cooked beef in the freezer which i will slice up and add to the rice. Also found a tub of stewed summer fruits which i will use up in overnight oats.
As the weather has been pants i've caught up with a couple of programmes on catch up and completed surveys whilst watching, £10 redeemed from N0rstatpanel, £25 has also hit paypal from 1poll so that has been sent to savings.

Afternoon all,
Quiet Sunday here and as the weather is overcast and windy I decided on indoor jobs for today, washing done, some baking done and started a chicken casserole for tonight's tea.
Caught up with some surveys and have redeemed £5 from ips0s and £5 from pr1me 0pinions both of which have hit paypal and gone to savings. Also sold an item on v1nted overnight £5 for the clothes fund,so that has been parcelled up and will drop off at the locker on my way to dog training tomorrow.

Afternoon, busy few days at work. It's feeling decidedly autumnal today, summer is just about over
Been at work this morning and managed to come back with biscuits and a large bag of unopened pasta, it amazes me what people leave behind. Anyway they are now in my cupboard and will get eaten at some points.
Made an £bay sale yesterday so £8 made, an item decluttered and used recycled packaging when i parcelled it up. DD dropped parcel on her way to visit her Grandma so that's one less job to do. Filled up soap dispensers with gifted bubble bath so that's a few pounds saved.
Easy tea tonight of jacket spud, cheese and beans, found 3 containers in the freezer containing bolognaise sauce so that's tomorrow nights tea sorted as well.

Morning and what a blustery night, drive is covered in leaves and twigs, will need to tidy it up later once the weather dies down.
Yesterday i had the baby dog at the vets first thing for her yearly vaccinations, these are included in her petplan so nothing to pay at the vets and then on to work.
Caught up with a friend in the afternoon as her youngest had received her GCSE results, results had all been good but think it had been an anxious few weeks in the household, grateful that those days are over.
Finances are ticking along, cottage rent hit account yesterday and divvied up into various pots, did put slightly less into savings as i'm going to do a freezer stock up at the weekend and wanted to make sure i have enough to cover what i need.
Sold another item on £bay £6 and redeemed £5 into paypa1 from prime 0pini0n which has gone to savings.
Better get dogs fed and walked and then off to work.4 -
** I decided to delete what i had written in my previous post as i felt it gave too much info and might out me**
Evening all, well what a truly horrible week but decision have been made and i am definitely starting a new chapter amd leaving my job in education.
I do still have some work going forward at friends holiday lodges but will probably quieten down November through to February but this is ok as i will apply for Christmas work and then we are away in January for 2 weeks and then her business tends to pick up again.
DD has just shouted that tea is ready so will update more later xx4 -
Have scoffed a very nice chicken and mushroom dish that DD had made and now it's time to talk money.
So budget has been gone through, the difference in pay between reduced hours at school and hours at lodges is £200, but that is going on the minimum hours i will be working, so when its high season, school hols etc i will have more hours, also worked out i will save around £50 a month in petrol and I have reduced grocery bill by £40 (£10 a week which i think is doable), I will also cancel my union fees which are £20 a month. I am determined to make this work for us.
So today has been payday and my last full time pay, I paid £100 into holiday pot, £100 into emergency and £100 into joint account, £100 OP to mortgage which knocked us down another month. I want to continue with the OP as we have money set aside in a fixed savings account which should (if my maths are correct) pay off our mortgage when fixed term ends in May 26, we fixed for 5 year in 2021 at 1.64% and thanks to an inheritance it will be paid off in 19months. Then we will be £700 a month better off.
I usually pay £100 into xmas pot as well but have kept it back so far as M&S have a beauty offer on at the moment and i thought i may be able to pick up some presents for DD and MIL.
Had some money in from surveys £15 from surveyb0d, £10 from purepr0file and £5 from prim£ 0pinions, all gone to savings. Also sold an item today on £bay for £15, redeemed £20 from y0ursaypays and withdrew £1.97 from quidc0. I'm also back up to £18 on 0nep0ll.
Need to do a food shop at some point, might go first thing tomorrow otherwise i will leave it until Monday.
