Thanks Penny. That’s really helpful. I used to shop weekly but changed recently and signed up for club card plus with Mr T so I get 10% off on two main shops so save about £25 through doing it.

  • Morning all,
Yesterday was a mixed day, work for a few hours in the morning and then home for lunch. Met a friend in the afternoon for tea and cake as it was her birthday on Tuesday, my treat so £12 spent, i also spent £15 on flowers and a card for her.
Managed to break my reading glasses yesterday, thank goodness it was just the cheap ones i wear with my contacts and not my eye wateringly priced vari-focal glasses. I had an eye test in december and still had my prescription in my handbag so was an easy buy off amaz0n, £10 spent on replacements which should hopefully arrive today.
Small sale on eb@y £7 and redeemed £6 from t0pcashback both will go to savings when they hit bank account, invoice has been sent for work done so hopefully that will get payed fairly quickly as bank account is looking sparse.

This morning i was up early, not because i wanted to get up just because i was desperate for the toilet and once i got up the dogs heard me and that was it then. Got them walked first thing and then went off and did this weeks grocery shop.
From the main shopping budget i spent £40.74, i've kept back £4.26 in case i've forgotten anything and sent the rest to savings, Spent £16.90 out of the buffer leaving £18.10, as its the last shop of the month i will probably send the remainder over to savings but will just leave it in the grocery account just for now and see what happens next week.
I have a tryit box out for delivery so hopefully that will arrive today, its supposed to be dog related, pooches will be happy if it is.

    Have a great weekend.

Morning all, did anyone manage to see the planets last night, we had a very clear sky so they were fairly easy to see.

Tryit box arrived and it was pooch related, few squids saved and happy dogs.

Used £5 out of the grocery buffer to buy a £5 Mr S voucher that i can use against next weeks shopping from TCB, got£2.10 in cashback.
£25 redeemed from 0pinium research, says it takes about 3 weeks to hit account. Caught up with a few more surveys this morning as well.

Off to walk the dogs shortly then work for a couple of hours, at least the sun is shining

Yesterday turned into a lovely day, spent the morning at work then the afternoon pottering outside getting some jobs done. It was also a NSD,

Today has also been a NSD, lovely walk through the woods this morning with the pooches, went past the local church and the graveyard was a blanket of snowdrops and purple crocus's did look beautiful.
Lamb stew in the slow cooker as i found a bag of neck pieces and some chops in the freezer, also bunged in a not so fresh leek which was ok once i had taken off a couple of outer layers and some bendy carrots and parsnips, will have with mash later. Chucked together a lemon drizzle cake and made DH some flapjack using up some dried cranberries that i got heavily reduced after christmas.
Another NSD, caught up with a couple of surveys and going to watch the last 2 episodes of Unforgotten whilst the hpuse is quiet.

    Morning all,

Yesterday was the usual Monday, work in the morning and then dog training in the afternoon. Also managed a NSD. So I'm up to 3 already this month.

Today should also be a NSD and i declined the offer to go into town with DH who has a dental appointment. I know fine well that i would not be able to resist a wander into M&S and would end up spending money I don't need to spend.
I was wide awake at 6am so thought i may as well get up and get the dogs walked and fed and make a start to the day since the sun is shining, popped a load in the washing machine on a quick wash before heading out which had finished when i got back and has been pegged out  :), 2nd load is on doing its thing so hope fully i will get that pegged out as well, I do love getting the washing dried for free.
Plans for today are to do some housework, get out into the garden and do a bit of tidying and catch up with any surveys.
I also have some sausage meat out of the freezer so will make some sausage rolls, leftover lamb stew tonight with yorky puds and veg, we are having pancakes on Friday as both DD and DS want them and DS is working tonight and DD doesn't get back off holiday until tomorrow.
Finances have been checked, DD has paid board which is good, still waiting for an invoice for work to be paid hopefully that comes in today or tomorrow. I hate having to message people and say did you get my invoice ok  :s.

    Take care xx

Good few NSD days there Penny. Well done!  Sounds like you’ve been very productive at home as well. You’ve reminded me to put our washing line out tomorrow and start getting some washing dried for free too!

  • Morning all, dogs walked, washing on and hopefully pegged out. DD is home from her jollies and has had a lovely time, good to have her home, although i suspect some grumpiness as the day goes on due to a night flight.

So didn't manage NSD number 4 as i decided to order some vegetable seeds, £8 spent. Need to get some compost at some point and then i can start sowing some seeds.

No grand plans today just a quiet day at home.

    Afternoon all,

Managed another NSD on Wednesday and also today so up to 5 now.

Moved Grocery shop day from today to yesterday as DD decided she wanted to go to B&M so i tagged along with her as i needed some cleaning bits and as l1dl is next door i thought i might as well go there instead of doing a separate trip to Mr Al.
Spent £70 in L1dl and a further £17.50 as part of the buffer shop stocking up on a few bits that i like from there, had a free coupon for a bakery item so got a focaccia for lunch, once i had gone through the checkout i sent DD back round to pick up another free bakery item and free veg item i qualified for whilst i was packed shopping ,otherwise these would have gone to waste as i don't shop there very often. I was very restrained in B&M and only got what was on my list spending £17. £13 underspend this week which has gone to savings and £7.50 buffer money to add onto next week. I still have the £5 Mr S voucher i bought through TCB last week if i desperately need anything.

Finances are ticking along ok, mortgage has gone out today with £100 OP. quite a few surveys caught up on but nothing at payout.

    Happy weekend xx
