Aftenoon, no pegging out today as it has rained on and off all day, have put a load on to wash as its DD work clothes but they will need to go on the airer.
Busy morning at work and ended up working an extra hour as there was lots to be done. Had to stay in at home all afternoon as someone was coming out to fix a chip on DD windscreen and DD is at work, it's all sorted now so hopefully she will stop worrying about her windscreen cracking.
Caught up with a few survey and redeemed £10 from n0rstatpanel, waiting on over £50 on survey payments now.
Ordered some bamboo lids of amaz0n that are supposed to fit the little GU pud pots, fingers crossed they fit as they will make good little storage pots for bits and pieces.
Currently have a chicken roasting for tonights tea, spicy chicken flatbreads with some salad amd sweet potato fries.

Spent the morning at work and it rained all morning. I was outside sorting out the planters and flower beds around the cottages and lodges and ended up soaked. Came home at lunchtime got showered and changed into dry clothes, lit the woodburner and chilled for a couple of hours, started watching Virgin river on netflix seems like a nice easy watch.
Caught up with a few surveys and redeemed £5 from i say which paid out to paypa1 straight away, £20 also hit paypa1 from 0nepoll, both have been paid into savings. Menu plan and shopping list made, not sure whether to get up early and go shopping before work or leave it until tomorrow afternoon, edging towards getting up early as that will free tomorrow afternoon to get on with housework which will have a knock on effect as means i will have less to do over the weekend and i can have so me time.

Afternoon diary.
Yesterday was a busy, up early and got the dogs walked before heading grocery shopping, £56 spent in MrS and £6 in B00ths.
Asked if i could do an extra hour at work which ate into the afternoon but to honest it was preferable to the pile of ironing i was going to do, still have ironing to do though.
Postie brought me an item to test from a survey company.
Today has been a quiet one at home pottering, got a few house jobs done and the dogs walked. Off to a wedding evening do tonight, so will need to have a shower, do my hair and get my glad rags on, decided not to buy anything new and i'm wearing a dress I already owe. I'm not really feeling it to be honest as I don't know the people getting married or anyone going, the groom is a friend of DH from a sports club he is part of and although i have met him a couple of times to say hello to I don't know him know him if that makes sense.
Managed a few surveys this morning but not a huge amount about.
Have a great weekend xx2 -
Morning all.
Yesterday was mainly spent working, housework and dog training, did just short of 18000 steps and was whacked yesterday evening.
Rubbish night sleep, Dh has hurt his back so can't get comfortable and everytime he tries to move he ends up groaning in pain (might sleep in spare room tonight) then DD was up at 4am as she has gone on holiday for a week, decided to get up at 6am and get the dogs walked and put a load of washing on. Speaking of washing today is focus on laundry day as we have a mountain of it, DD has stripped her bed so that is to wash, Dh has left a pile of work clothes and there is also the dogs beds to do. Woodburner lit and log baskets filled, CH comes on for a couple of hours in the morning and an hour in the evening but the weather is warming up so going to knock the evening blast on the head unless it comes cold again.
Finances checked and a survey payment has gone in so £15 sent to emergency savings, had a refund for a top i decided i didn't need as i already have one similar so i sent £16 to joint savings. Rent payment in and £200 sent to regular saver, £100 to holiday saver and £100 paid off the mortgage which actually knocked off another month.
Rejigged the mealplan as i'd actually forgotten to factor in DD being on holiday, so some freezer use ups this week, taken out some chicken pie filling and some pastry from the freezer and will put a pie together later.
Spendy day as i have the hairdressers later.

Glad to see you back Penny. You’re on it as always. Haven’t heard of reverse meal planning but makes sense! I’m really trying to get a handle on our meal planning at the mo. And therefore food spending!DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

Great job on the surveys! And happy new car 😁 when we were shopping we also had the hard sell for new cars. I find reverse meal planning works really well, I have a budget of £100 a week for groceries this includes cleaning stuff and basic toiletries like toothpaste, handwash etc fancy stuff comes from personal spends, I also have £25 a week buffer for any yellow stickered items and offers i can stock up on and put away for future weeks. Any grocery money not spent gets sent to savings and any buffer money left over rolls over to the next week. So for example last week i spent £15 on reduced bread, chicken and toilet rolls that weren't on my shopping list so £10 gets moved over to next weeks spends so i will have £35 for any offers (hope that makes sense) If i end up with a chunk of buffer money i will either send it to saving or quite often i go to the butchers at a local farm shop and do a bulk buy on any offers they have and freeze. I am fortunate to have a huge chest freezer and a large upright freezer to store any extra bargains i find.
When i do my meal plan i base it on what we already have in, so i already know that meatballs and spaghetti will feature on next weeks plan as i have the meatballs ready made in the freezer that i got reduced a few weeks ago, I have the storecupboard bits to make the sauce but no spaghetti, so the only thing to go on the shopping list for that meal is spaghetti.

) It is terrible how they push people to borrow more money than they want to spend or possibly afford.
