  • Ok, thank you. I’m just more concerned about it affecting my credit report as they said they are NOT placing it on hold.

The only way that it can affect your credit report is if you lost in court and failed to pay IN FULL within the 30 days grace period allowed to fully pay it and have it expunged, that would be between you and the court and neither we nor anyone else can change the justice procedures

If you did have a CCJ, then B W Legal cannot put it on hold, neither can anyone else, its a judicial process that is non negotiable . You don't even have a court claim, no CCJ, no affect on your credit report at all. Coupon mad did mention that back in May, around page 2

Chill time, have a good holiday
  • Much appreciated for the reassurance. Thank you

This is explained in the 2nd post of NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST.  You can't just 'get a CCJ'. That's not how the court process works. You are safe to relax on holiday.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

    Dear _________,

We have written to you on numerous occasions and your balance remains outstanding. If you can pay the balance now and stop the matter from escalating, please click the make a payment link below.

If you need to pay over a plan, we can help, but you must contact us. The benefits of a plan are: -

Benefits of setting up an arrangement to pay

    • Once you have a plan in place, you will not receive further letters, calls, emails or SMS chasing the balance.
    • This would prevent your case from escalating through our collections process, which could, if applicable, reach a legal stage.
    • If this account is being reported to credit reference agencies, then setting up a repayment plan may help improve your credit score as the balance reported each month reduces.

This is an important matter and should not be ignored. Let us help you take control of clearing the balance based on your affordability, providing you with peace of mind.

If you have a query, you can log this via our customer portal. Send us all the details and we will investigate and ensure any contact attempts are stopped whilst we investigate.

Remember, we are here to support you and want to help you resolve this. Don't let this matter escalate.

Get in touch now so we can find the right solution to repay the outstanding balance of £110.00.

  • I’ve also just received this in the post today. Took a week to get me!

    Debt collectors letters.

The fourth post of the NEWBIES thread
explains exactly how to deal with debt collector's letters, but to summarise that post - ignore them.

    Jeez, this is misleading:

"If this account is being reported to credit reference agencies, then setting up a repayment plan may help improve your credit score as the balance reported each month reduces."

Just wondering can TPS just ignore the complaint I have sent? I sent it on 9 August and still have had no response.
