Any ideas where I go from here please?  This is the response from BW Legal

Thank you for contacting us, please find our response below:

The address we hold on our file is_______________. This address was obtained by us following a trace with the relevant authorities.

In regards to the address held by the DVLA, Our Client applied to the DVLA to ascertain the details of the registered keeper as at the Contravention Date, which returned your name and the address for sending notices in respect of the Vehicle. If this address was incorrect as at the Contravention Date, this is entirely your own doing, as it is a legal requirement for you to keep the DVLA updated of a change of address. As our Client issued the PCN to the address provided by you to the DVLA, and received no returned mail, service is presumed and it is our client's position that the PCN was served properly.

We have requested a copy of the PCN and any reminder notices from our client which we will forward upon receipt.

Should you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact our office.

If you have any further issues or new questions that you would like us to assist you with, we kindly request that you use the contact options below to submit a new query.

I have the copy of my original V5C2 new keepers details from when I purchased the vehicle.  The address on it is my current address the only difference is it's an incorrect postcode (this was filled out by the garage I bought it from).  So DVLA must have issued V5 to postcode address. This has now been updated with DVLA, however is there anything I can do on these grounds?

Well you just wait for them to revert to you with the documents they are obtaining.  What they have said is nothing important.

I am still waiting to receive documents as per my last one line correspondence. However in the mean-time I have received this final demand in the post on 22 June. Do I ignore or contact them about this?

Thank you in advance for your help on this.

I would reply with a copy of the previous correspondence and that they should have placed the matter on hold whilst consulting with their client

If that's BW Legal demanding £110 please confirm how much the original (non-discounted)  PCN was for? Was it £50 (discounted to £25)?

That’s correct it’s was £50, discounted to £25. BW legal debt recovery fee is £60.

I mean ... even a new Minister who knows nothing about parking law can see the issue with that!

I am beginning to wonder why the English justice system doesn't adopt more of the Scottish justice version, namely that £300 threshold, especially when I see programmes on my TV about shoplifters and £200 thresholds for police involvement !

It beggars belief that the debt collectors charge is higher than the original sum being claimed
