Genuine question - I have been chatting to the NICEST chap. However, he is 10 years old than me. I don't think I mind that, and to be honest everyone I have spoken to my age is either still a party animal (no thanks) or just wants one thing. This guy is totally different, a lot more mature and I am really enjoying our text chats. Any thoughts girls (and gent CoG)?
My DH reckons it was like meeting the Spanish Inquisition when we first started talking seriously
I have given my DGDs breakfast, the jars of last year's plum jam are now properly labelled, and I have dropped them off near school to walk down with their friends. Now I'm about to have a second breakfast with DH5 -
morning all
well my diagnosis of me being exhausted was spot on…I woke at 8:45 (other than loo visits) and after that/those i returned promptly to oblivion. I can’t even remember if there was more than 1!
ASB what Iona said (there was a child called Iona in the park when my friend and I went for a walk, I thought of you and now, of course, I have a picture).

So far I have misread everything.. Round misplaced her brother, Iona dropped jam off at school...and ASB has a simp ... honestly lovely.. keep it to messaging .. unless you are after the one thing, thats what he IS wanting.. they do the sweet-talking/love bombing/stuff you want to hear.. until you say no then they ghost you or have a mantrum.. or they turn out to be narcissistic lunatics. I said to my daughter, if they have more than 2 'psycho-exes' .. it is them!!! They are the problem.. Enjoy the flattery and buttering up and nice chats but keep it there and look for someone who is geniune from day one.
Cooker guy came.. said the cooker is ok and left.. so now it isn't working obvs.OH is taking the car for new tyres at 10.. we have had the spare on since Thursday.I need to pompom some hats and a cat..
I have 6 parcels being collected and 1 more to package.
1 silly question to ask.. are these 'this size' or 'this same size/brand' ... yes.... I will measure it if I get in gear.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)6 -

Thank you SO much girls. I am definitely going to stick to messages for quite some time, I have no desire to rush into anything. It’s nice to have someone to text chat to. I promise I won’t do anything silly.
Piggers - a simp?! Please translate lol xx
The dating world is crazy - I was with ex DH from the age of 15 so no idea about things nowadays. So happy on my own but equally enjoying feeling nice once again - makes me realise just how invisible I was for such a long time.Sat in the dentist waiting room typing this… xx7 -

I am 7.5 years OLDER than OH
I was with CF from being 14, we got engaged at 16, married at 20 and separated at 34 and divorced at 37... it's a long time.. I didn't do dating and the simps (mainly guys I had been at school with who were creepy af then and did not improve with age.) I actually picked OH up on FB .. we played a game together, got chatting the rest is marriage 5 girls and a bunch of cats.. Friends first and see what life brings your way.. you don't need a man to define you or shape your personality.. but they are very useful for changing lightbulbs, and moving heavy stuff!! lol.

Afternoon all. Still waiting for the last lamb to arrive here! Weather glorious, been outside most of the day.
ASB, as others have said, be careful, but keep talking to him for now. As for the age gap, it's just a number. Everyone told me dadtoomany was too old for me, there is only a two year seven month gap between us, but we started dating (is that still a term?) When I was only 14 and him nearly 17. Now the gap in age is barely noticeable. Our neighbours, who have the most amazing marriage and children, have a big age gap. He is the same age as dadtoomany, she the same age as our DD1. Enjoy whatever life throws your way.
Round, I hope you're having a better day today.
CoG and others, glad you liked the lamb pictures.
So far this week, we've managed to clear out the gutters and down pipes. I'm in charge of holding the ladders. Cleaned the outside of all the windows, mostly with an extendable thing! And cut the path, in the grass, around the back field, done with a quad bike and pull along petrol mower. OH has done much strimming of scrambled too. I've made a pie for the freezer this morning, used up some turkey from the fridge. Still to do afternoon school run, did two yesterday, and fed the DGC. Not sure if we're feeding them today, but am going to make a big pan of bolognese, just in case.
Right, back outside. Check on sheep and make the most of this weather.
Hugs to all, mumtoomany.xxx
