I'm up .. stop nagging!!! lol My (almost) 30 y/o won't leavve me alone so I've just stopped trying to slob and got up. £11 won on bingo and sent to my bank... I doubt it will pay out but if it does I shall be very happy.. haha .. I have a 'spare' bank account for nothingness transactions and payments from unknown sources which is not linked to my main accounts... I'm not utterly doolally.2 more items to package up and 2 payments received.. 2 hoodies and a pair of jogger bought for Pixie and Squeak.. they are both in adult sizes now (10 and 13) so I am less willing to buy good branded stuff new.. they are getting Vinted stuff..
OH's boss messaged yesterday asking if he would go in an hour early today so he was out from 8am.. he will be back about 5 I think.. they had a huge delivery to take out and build so he is part of a crew today.
Eczema smeared with cream.. I have to use it carefully because I react to the cream..
I want to break the back of this cardigan for Twinkles teacher for her baby.. I have started it twice but it is chenille type yarn and I hate it.. it feels too loose.. I might be frogging it again and doing it on smaller needles tbh.

Hello all.
Wig wam bam...... I don't even know the words but I'm humming it now.
Dailies done, hoovered through and walked Poppet. Also picked up some second hand garden toys and some books for the grandkids. Spent £3.50 and a little petrol so well pleased.Currently listening to football while having a sandwich. No crisps as I've put on weight again.
Not entirely sure what I'll do this afternoon before DGD2 arrives for her sleepover. Storms are forecast.Spend less now, work less later.8 -
Wam Bam Bam 🎶 🎵
Round 1 has been completed.
I've been online and ordered a lawnmower, a strimmer, a spade, a fork and a rake. I already own a hoe, secateurs and a broom. P has always taken care of the garden and I've pottered occasionally. Now P is ill and I'm in danger of getting lost when I go down to the washing line - so I'm going to have a go. Once the tools arrive. First job will be to tidy up....but I'm thinking a small vegetable patch might be an idea. I'm blaming / crediting Fayolle for giving me ideas 😍

Back garden mostly weeded and grass cut. Then I slept for two hours. Am now in the midst of making a chocolate cake as requested by DH as apparently it's what proper wives do on a Sunday. He was joking.
See you all on the new thread.Spend less now, work less later.7 -
OOH I'd forgotten Wig Wam Bam - they keep playing Blockbuster on the radio.
Needless to say, while I'm often writing reports late at night, sitting up deliberately in the hope of seeing some 'lights' meant I woke up really tired; finally went to bed at 1.30am having not seen any. Judging by zero posting on local FB, they didn't visit my village today.
So, not only tired but on the stiff side - swim buddy and I tried the 1.4miles out yesterday to see how long it would take. Decided the walk to church and back (a mile or so each way) would do me good - set off early as I intended to vacuum, check flowers and set out refreshments only to find several people had got there before me - also early as I'd forgotten that I actually asked for cover for refreshments as I was meant to be down at Mum's this w/e. Duh. Someone else had been passing and had vacuumed.....really it's like buses; all or nothing. Having lugged much of a 2-pinter of milk there in the sun, I made sure someone else took it home as I couldn't face lugging it back again. With an unusual display of strong-mindedness, I refused 3 offers of a lift home and took the scenic route which would have been lovely had it not been for the field part being knee deep in stinging nettles. Sandals, thin trousers, ouch. Still tingling. And aching!
I don't cope well with heat so I'm moving from place to place, but have managed to brush and wash 5 cushion covers from one of our garden seats, wash 3 bird feeders and help Mr N cut a hedge. Oh and I measured up one of our old conservatory blinds which no longer fits, to see if it would fit in Mum's bedroom window. Next on the list is to ring her. Oh and I've watered plants in the conservatory and put away my swimming stuff (which mainly dries outside then gets moved into conservatory overnight to dry off). Just a few more things to tidy in the conservatory, tomorrow the company are measuring and quoting for new blinds as needless to say the old ones don't fit well and we're anxious about drilling holes in the new conservatory.
Lovely relaxing view Natty. I've spend a lot of time today watching damselflies on our pond.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.8 -
Masses done outsitde by both Belovéd and self, but there was just too much to do to get it finished. He threw in the towel at 5.00, I did at 6.00. It's going to hiss down tomorrow so there's no chance of either of us doing anything then, but the rest of the week the weather gets better each day. If not Tuesday, then Wednesday I think.Forgot it was due to rain tomorrow and put a load in the WM so that'll be dangling about for a few days indoors.Better is good enough.7

well compliments received on the roast beef dinner. It was very good roast beef tbf, and i cooked it perfectly.
Trifle enjoyed by everyone except DS who doesn’t=like it *shock*…given it will usually appear with other choices i hadn’t realised. I did not know my soon to be 31 yo son doesn’t linked trifle. Mum fail. DW locked and loaded.
Water butt emptied out as it was whiffy, and starting to refill already. Garden watered with smelly water.
