Cloth_of_Gold said:A rang the GP about his foot infection... He asked the GP if the practice nurse would do it but she said no and suggested a private podiatrist. He's agreed (I think) to see the one I go to and maybe she might have an opinion on his infection too.
I've got an appointment with the optician this morning. After that, shopping, lunch, Rosie's walk, be available in case DDiL1 can't get back from the RHS show in time to pick up DD1+2 from school.
Have a good day, everyone (especially you, round) xxx7 -
CoG .. My MIL had a weekly podiatrist do her nails etc.. She came to the house every week. Here you can self refer to adult podiatry so have a look on the page for your NHS trust. You certainly do not have to go private! Most areas do also have 2 services.. one through medical services and one through social services so it may be worth getting an assessment of need for adult services an tell them what you need.. they are not allowed to offer anything you have to ask! You could aso go to a beauty salon and get him a pedicure! They cut and tidy nails an he can have them painted glittery or just with a vitamin paint or nothing at all, whatever floats his boat.. I would go with this option tbh.. LOTS of men go he will not be out of place.. this is probably the quickest and cheapest option tbh.WM's loadedtea made, toast scoffed (migraine meds make me feel sick so I need to eat)
Car insurance we are keeping the one we have and I have found a house insurance for the same numbers but £150 cheaper over the year..

Dry washing removed from airer, FUPA. Airer put away.
iona - this morning was 😥. Vile. Worse than I expected. I do not cope when I'm doing my best and my best isn't good enough. Thank goodness I was moved to Therapy for the afternoon. But I'm back on B&B on Friday. I'm already dreading it. As I said: it's like learning Ancient Greek in Arabic when you only speak English! My colleague said that was understating it. And not a gaffer in sight. Of course.
Sent an email to DPO re: who has accessed my medical record and why. She said HR are dealing with it. HR already told me that their role is to support the manager of the person who did it. So if HR are dealing with it .... that suggests to me not an innocent error. I am not letting this go. I've asked how I can protect my record from further incursions! I will make waves. Big waves if necessary. Legal waves if I have to.
I'm not at the end of my tether yet....but I'm definitely at the frayed section.
Cor. All I do is complain. I'm convinced someone has dropped me into a soap opera without telling me. Life of Round: 2024. A series of unfortunate events. (With apologies to erm Lemony Snicket is it?)
Cheer me up. Tell me nice things.

Thanks @ionafan but the podiatrist I use is only about a mile and a half away so I can easily take A there in the car. She is on the ground floor with step-free access so it should be fairly straightforward.@pigpen thanks for the suggestion. I looked first on the NHS website for podiatry services and and put in our postcode and it suggested they were available at a local NHS health and wellbeing centre. I went on its website and searched for podiatry and it came up with a page headed 'Podiatry' but the only other thing on the page was a section headed 'Contact Details' under which is said that no contact details were available!I then looked at our NHS Trust website and duly searched under podiatry services but it came up with nothing helpful at all. Both website are total rubbish I'm afraid. To be honest I would rather we just paid because the stress and hassle of trying to get this done free just isn't worth it, but I appreciate your kind suggestions.A had the tooth removed and it seems to have gone well. He liked the dentist, whom I met briefly and she certainly seemed very warm and friendly, and having googled her she also appears to be very skilled. She told him that she would ring tomorrow to check he is ok, which I thought was nice. We were home for 1pm but A had to wait a couple of hours for his lunch; I'd popped to Waitrose whilst he was in the dentist and bought some soft things for him to eat. After lunch I WUPA the lunch and breakfast things and had a S&S in the kitchen and took down a bag of rubbish. Apart from making supper and washing up I don't see any more flying being done today. Apart from anything else it's too warm.6

Round get your Union involved. At least, at this stage, advise them there has been an issue.
You could also report to the ICO https://ico.org.uk/ and you could advise HR you intend to submit a SAR as you’re not satisfied with the progress so far. Or advise HR you’re considering reporting to the ICO. In your shoes i would be suggesting that I would be considering reporting to the ICO.

Today rambled along ok:
- did body pump
- went to uni. Not an amazingly easy student but by no means the worst.
- came home to empty house as Mr N has gone to visit friends overnight; garage empty so I presume his motorbike started ok. Had a message later to say he'd arrived safely. So the evening was my own. Had a brief recovery from work by a piece of cake while watching the news, but am determined to sit around for shorter periods of time than usual.
- did about an hour in the garden potting on, watering greenhouse and pulling up bluebells. Really enjoyed it on a lovely sunny evening and made me feel more satisfied than slumping in a chair.
- emptied DW.
- got frozen fishcakes out for my tea and some beef chunks to put in the SC tomorrow morning.
- did drumming practice.
- caught up on a bit of admin.
House still tidy after the blitz before the church group last night.
Tomorrow I plan to set the alarm and make sure I'm up as Mr N's meds, which have to be signed for, are arriving between 8am and 12. In theory that means I will have more time than usual to do 'stuff' before going to Pilates at 11.30. To ensure that happens, I plan to strip bed and put linen in the WM as I go down to make a cup of tea, to ensure I don't slink back to bed..........watch this space.
Not sure that is happy enough for you Round, pretty mundane really unless you're a fellow metalhead and can think of me bashing away at 'Jump'.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.8 -
Happy thoughts for round:
- I have had a decent night's sleep and woke up before my alarm could shatter the day
- The sun is shining and the sky is blue
- The bluetits are very busy feeding their young
- The blackbirds are looking after their nest in the front garden (I haven't disturbed them to see how many eggs there are)
- Some of my beautiful tall iris are coming into bloom
- I have just finished my first cuppa
- Rosie is still asleep under the piano stool, and snoring gently - she looks very comfortable
- My DGD1+2 are arriving in about 25 minutes, so I'm about to hop in the shower, get dressed, and be ready to welcome them with peanut butter sandwiches or toast and HM marmalade
I hope that the sun is shining with you too and you have an altogether better day today. Valli and Narc0 have already pointed you towards the next step of escalating your complaint, so just do it! xx (I have also bookmarked the ICO page, just in case I ever need it.)
xxx to all6 -
I just lost my post. Bother.
Precis: thank you. I'll email HR today and explore the ICO site. Today should be less stressful as I'm in my Therapy Admin role.
I made the bed, packed my lunch, etc.
Love you all 😘

Morning all,
I started to post at 5am yesterday - here we are 27 hours later!! Bonkers busy day at work yesterday, but in a good way. I also got DS bedding washed, line dried and remade. Played Mums taxi for a bit, and DD and I emptied the last few bits out of our loft (we have loads of storage in the house itself, so no need for anything at all to be in the loft). It is now empty, hurrah!, and I have a car load for the tip.
Today I am working until noon, then have a hygienist appointment and will do said tip run. WM x2 to do, I have already pegged one load out that finished overnight.
Genuine question - I have been chatting to the NICEST chap. However, he is 10 years old than me. I don't think I mind that, and to be honest everyone I have spoken to my age is either still a party animal (no thanks) or just wants one thing. This guy is totally different, a lot more mature and I am really enjoying our text chats. Any thoughts girls (and gent CoG)?
I havent read back yet but will send love to ALL of you. Hope the sun shines for you today xx8
