I think this falls firmly under the Terms & Conditions paragraph headed "Taking the P*ss".

It's Coop all over again but I think we suspected it might be.

Interestingly I got paid out in these circumstances but a relative is facing the same hurdle as you. They've complained.

I was told “the switch bonus wont arrive until you make a card payment” and when i said that wasnt in the terms she hung up on me. Nice.
got the money a week later after a call threatening to complain to ombudsman and had it in less in 24 hours. Next day switched out so i wouldnt look at that damnable logo on the app again.
