Good morning,
This is probably quite a niche one as you need to live in Northern Ireland to open an account with Danske as a new customer but Danske currently have a £200 switching offer for those who don't currently have a Danske current account. See:

EDIT:
Terms are now archived for future reference:

I note the application form allows applications from GB applicants if you're an existing Danske customer. Is there any way to become a Danske customer though? All the savings accounts I've checked have had the same stipulation.1

Not that I'm aware of. I seem to recall this wasn't always the case though so it could be one to keep an eye on in the future.WillPS said:I note the application form allows applications from GB applicants if you're an existing Danske customer. They used to allow applicants from all UK but eventually moved to serving NI only. I looked at this a few years ago for a way to get my foot in the door using an eligible savings account but couldn't find one. If you are eligible, their Reward account is a fairly good deal. It used to be really generous so has gradually been eaten away at, but it's still free money at the end of the day if you meet all the requirements.WillPS said:I note the application form allows applications from GB applicants if you're an existing Danske customer. Any definition of a "New Personal Current Account Customer"?
I have an existing Reward Account. Reckon if I close it and open a new one I'd be a new customer?0 -
That would be my interpretation of the rules, though this reminds me of the £125 Co-op refer-a-friend affair in that respect.Ed-1 said:Any definition of a "New Personal Current Account Customer"?

I don't see any reference to having active direct debits so it looks like a simple open account, switch account, put £1000 in and wait for the free money.0

As I live in NI I'll be giving this one a go

Any feedback on the account opening/switching process would be appreciated. Good luck!danny13579 said:As I live in NI I'll be giving this one a go

I have existing Reward accounts too, so if you have work around address issue...?
I could just test their process efficacy, I have defunct 123 accounts amongst others.0
