It's only open to NI residents unless you already are a Danske customer and living in the UK. If you're in Ireland you're not entitled to the offer.

It doesn't have to stay in the account, once the funds have been deposited you can withdraw them immediately and it would still satisfy this term of the offer.

So it took around 3 working days to hear from the bank you were switching from and around 4 from Danske after signing the switching documents?

I signed my switching documents last Thursday so today is 3 working days but I've heard nothing back yet from either the bank I'm switching from or Danske.

I've received my debit card but am still waiting for my user ID and temporary PIN, so I still can't log into the app.

Congratulations on receiving the bonus, at least they were quick to pay it. I'll be keeping my account as I can get the reward every month and it's useful if another switching offer comes along sometime (assuming it allows existing customers to avail of it).

I haven't come across this. I've set up a few payees to the same name (myself) to other accounts I hold with other banks and was given the option to give each a nickname so I know which is which.

I haven't come across this. I've set up a few payees to the same name (myself) to other accounts I hold with other banks and was given the option to give each a nickname so I know which is which.

Can I ask when you found out your switch date? I signed all the documents on the 9th, 9 days ago, but have heard nothing since.

When you receive your User ID (8 digit) and temporary passcode (4 digit)  by post you can log in to online banking.

Although first you need Danske ID app on phone/tablet as this is also required to get in.

Or if you dont use apps, they can send out an eSafe ID device.

They dont send out a pin for the card unless you request it. You can find the pin in Danske Mobile Banking under 'cards'

They do send out the pin which comes from Malmo Sweden

In the application you applied for online banking you don't need the debit card to register if you use the debit card to apply you are taking a backward step.
First thing to arrive by post was the debit card followed by the USER ID
then the pin arrived all the way from Malmo Sweden still waiting for temp code

£3 per month for 8 debit card transactions is better than nothing. Similar to TSB who give £5 for 20 debit card transactions. I like bananas and have no problem paying for each one separately at the self service checkout.
