I want to book 2 nights in a row, 1 night is £9 1 is £19, when I use the start date & put for 2 nights it charges £19 for both night, so will it be ok to book the 2 nights separately? It wouldn't cause any problems?

Also, using the MILs card to book, will there be any problems when we get there as she's not coming with us? Do you have to show the card you paid on or anything?
If you're going to stalk me, while you're at it can you cut the grass, feed the dog & make sure I've got bread & milk in :D

No, it won't cause problems. In fact, if you do it this way remember to get QuidCo twice. However, on the second day before midday, tell them that you want to be checked out of the same room and checked back in again into the same room!

Otherwise, you'll have to move your stuff if someone else has been allocated your room! ;)

Any idea if they do another promo later in the year for September? Need rooms for Sept 18-19th in and around Newark :)

If you definately need a travelodge for these dates - book the 'normal priced' rooms at £49 or whatever - because these rooms can be cancelled. Then if you do find the offers come back on for later in the year, you are laughing.

    Hope this helps.

Not a freebie, nor a reduction, but if you are looking for cheapo accommodation on the way to the Alps this winter, try http://www.misterbed.fr/

Run by Accord on essentially the same principle as Formula 1, but with en suite shower, sink and toilet. We found the formula 1 s getting a bit tired. Mister bed has the same modular Oil Rig/container prefab Accommodation but worth the extra four Euros. For families the other bonus is that they have rooms for four.

Yes - but it costs me a lot for them to make me proud!

Will make sure I am there before 6pm then!

    read their T&C's

have just pulled this from them

All guests are required to check-in between 3pm on the scheduled date of arrival and 4am the following day unless you have purchased an early check-in as an extra.
If a guest does not check-in before 4am of the first night of their stay (that is, 4am in the morning of the date which is immediately after the scheduled date of arrival) then we will make an automatic cancellation of the applicable room booking(s).

I can't see where it states you will loose your room.. this better not (will not) happen as I will have a couple of kids in tow for legoland the following days..

Not sure about that but I have queried this in the past due to bad experiences (enclosed at the bottom) although their reply isn't really a fair one. They compare with other hotels, but other hotels will not allocate your room out to someonse else if you've both paid upfront in advance in full and rang to say that you'll be arriving late. Travelodge are the only ones that do that.

    Dear Mr **********

Thank you for contacting Travelodge regarding your recent stay at our ******** Hotel on the *******. Please accept my sincerest apologies for the inconvenience you have encountered as a direct result of the hotel being overbooked.

In line with almost all operators within the hotel industry we operate a procedure that allows our reservation system to overbook hotels. This is so that we can compensate for the expected level of late-cancellations or non arrivals. The overbooking levels are based on the historical booking trends for each hotel to ensure that we are as accurate as possible, enabling us to strike the balance between honouring the booking for guests who arrive at the hotel and maximising our occupancy levels to compensate for those who do not.

Occasionally, however, we experience an unexpected take-up of arrivals for the hotel, and cannot accommodate all the guests arriving at the hotel. In these instances we have a clear procedure which includes finding the guests alternative accommodation, transportation to their alternate hotel (if necessary), and ensuring the rate at the alternative hotel is no higher than they would have been paying.

Customer feedback is important to us and it provides us with an opportunity to assess the service we provide and where necessary implement changes that will benefit our customers needs.

Once again, my sincere apologies for having to contact us regarding your stay, and we hope this experience will not deter you from using Travelodge again in the near future.

    Kind regards

I have done that many times (booking seperate nights) but always tell them on arrival and then hopefully no need to check in again the next day..I have never needed to and always kept the same room.

the card wont be an issue as it will have been prepaid

It def can happen and does, and if it does you wont have a room (simple as), I always ring the travelodge on the morning of arrival to make sure they have my booking and to let them know what time I will arrive
  • Don't forget! Never make a mistake when reserving with Travelodge. I made a reservation with them at 6:45pm and only realised as I pressed the button that I had put today's date instead of tomorrows! Despite calling the hotel and central reservations, I was told there was no way they were going to change it! £70 down the drain.... Be warned!

In the last promotion I booked a room on the wrong night in my hurry to get it done. I'm thinkin of selling on ebay and I see the sellers there reckon that you don't need proof of identity, just the name it was booked under and the confirmation name. Can anyone confirm that? Thanks
